This is an aftermarket rod kit that is a direct replacement for the:

FE/FS/FC450 (2004-2008) no little end bush required

FX/FS/FC470 (2001-2003) no little end bush required

FE/FS/FC400 (2001-2003) YES a little end bush IS required,

however we have a piston with the 20mm little end that is a straight fit (please enquire)

If you own a 2004 450 please check the big end pin for oil location hole. this rod kit is for the 2005-2008 450 and all those modified so. The oil feed is 6mm from the end of the pin. Some 2004s had the oil feed 16mm in from the end. we can help here but there is an extra cost involved. Please ask....

Overview of Connecting Rod Kit

8692 High-quality replacement kits are manufactured from hot- rolled ASTM 4115 and

case-hardened to 58-62 Rc

Advanced design uses strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize high rpm

bearing race distortion Rods are double-forged to improve grain flow and maintain dimensional consistency.

Rods are also shot-peened and double-honed for superior strength under heavy loads.

Small ends are double drilled to supply extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing,

which is especially important when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing.

Crank pin bearings are silver-coated for added lubricity Kits sold complete with:

2013 Husaberg Lineup Announced – Video

Husaberg announced its 2013 lineup of off-road models including both two-stroke and four-stroke models. Internationally, Husaberg will offer four FE four-stroke models and three TE two-stroke models but the U.S. market will only be offered three FE and two TE models.

When Pierer Industrie AG purchased Husqvarna from BMW in January, it was obvious some major changes were on their way. Pierer Industries AG is owned by Stefan Pierer, who happens to be chief executive officer of KTM, which also happens to be the parent company of Husaberg. That’s three European motorcycle manufacturers with strong off-road lineages in the same family.

KTM and Husaberg are recalling about 6,117 off-road motorcycles due to a risk of cracked handlebar clamps. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the handlebar clamps on some off-road KTM and Husaberg models can develop cracks from normal use.
