Honda XR description

This bike is in very good shape, everything intact. Some brush wear on the muffler pipes in the front. This bike has new front and rear fenders, the rear is equipped with a tail light. It also has a head light and this bike can be street legal through the DMV. It also has new side plastic and a verily new rear tire. This bike has real low mileage, very little hours really for a 2001 . The first owner was a Chiropractor in Crestline, Ca. and he only used it on week ends once in while. It was stored most of ALL the winter riding months that most desert riders are familiar with. It has just been trail ridden for family recreation and never any hard riding ever. I am the second owner. I have just had it for a short while and am just re-selling it for income.. I have ridden it up and down the road and it is a very strong bike, but have never taken it out... This bike can be bought with pay-pal. Buyers pick-up...

Traction control? Yawn...

Tue, 10 Jan 2012

My long-term Fireblade went back to Honda last week and, seeing as it’s sunny and mild outside now, I’m already missing it. It is one of the best 1000cc sports bikes out there, I don’t care what anyone else says, the way it makes its power is just perfect for fast road use. With the Power Commander 5 fitted and the fuelling sorted my 2011 Blade performed as well if not better than the 2012 version.

A Weighty Issue

Mon, 03 Nov 2008

For as long as I can remember, motorcycle manufacturers have been playing fast and loose with regard to what they claim for the weight of their bikes. The “dry weights” they foisted upon us had little basis in reality. The “dry” part of that claim meant that listed weights on a spec chart were the result of all fluids being MIA from the bike, including necessities like engine oil, coolant and fork fluid (not to mention fuel), but even that didn’t fully explain the overly optimistic specs.

Casey Stoner Testing The Honda RC213V At Motegi – Video

Fri, 09 Aug 2013

Casey Stoner made a surprise return to MotoGP recently, participating in a two-day test with former employer, Honda. Check out the video below to see the former champ in action. The test took place at the Honda-owned Motegi circuit, where Stoner rode the 2013 model in the morning session before switching to 2014 machinery — the same spec bikes Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez currently pilot — in the afternoon.  Unfortunately, the Australian only managed six laps during the first day of testing due to rain, but completed 47 laps the following day when conditions were much better.
