Honda XR description

Hard to find, CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN, ALL ORIGINAL OEM, ORIGINAL OWNER, Honda XR-650-R !!  I am the original owner, purchased locally.  You will see this bike is absolutely like new!  Then bike has NEVER had any problems and has NEVER been modified, or worked on.  I have never taken the bike out of town or even trailered it.  I have ridden it only 5 times, directly from my house, and it has always been garaged.  You can see from the pictures how clean and like new the bike actually is.  Everything is original, from the grips to the tires.  Look at the engine oil and radiator fluid, clean as the first day I purchased it.  Stickers are still on the plastics, and you can even see the OEM white grease on the chain!  The bike has been stored in my garage with the fuel drained from the fuel tank and carburetor for the past 3 years.

You are welcome to see it in person and purchase it locally, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86406.

Hero MotoCorp Launches 125cc Ignitor in India

Tue, 03 Jul 2012

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Ignitor, a 125cc premium model based on the CBF Stunner from former partner turned rival Honda. The Ignitor is one of the final models Hero will produce with technology licensed from Honda, and it is expected to bridge the gap before Hero introduces its own new models (with help from a gentleman named Erik Buell.) Like the Stunner, the Hero Ignitor is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine. Both models claim 11hp and 8 ft-lb., but the Ignitor reaches its peak torque at 5000 rpm while the Stunner has to spin up to 6500 rpm.

Schwantz, Tsujimoto Team Up For Yoshimura Legends Team At 2014 Suzuka 8-Hour

Sat, 01 Mar 2014

Former 500cc World Champion, Kevin Schwantz, will pair with former Japanese Champion, Satoshi Tsujimoto, in this year’s Suzuka 8-Hour race. The duo originally tackled Suzuka together in 1986, ultimately coming in third position. Now the two are back in celebration of Yoshimura’s 60th anniversary, as part of the company’s “Legend Team.” Yoshimura will also field a second entry with former Australian Champion Josh Waters and All Japan Superbike rider Takuya Tsuda.

Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba

Fri, 24 Jun 2011

This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.
