Honda XR description

The king of Baja. Unstoppable. This thing is a beast.

Great condition stock 18"/21" wheels with very good Pirelli MT-90's, tubes, and an oversized front rotor
FMF pipe + jetting, airbox, filter, uncorked, de-smogged, etc
Clark gas tank (4.3gal I believe)
Scott's steering damper mount (the damper itself got stolen a few months ago)
Low profile LED turn signals in the rear
Cycra handguards with LED turn signals in the front
Pro Taper/Easton "CR High" handlebars
Big cushy leather seat (forget the brand)
Infamous right footpeg bracket fix with new "over the frame" mount
Fluidyne radiators and hoses
Suspension was done by Precision Concepts (set up for a 185lb rider)
New graphics, but the right side tank graphic is aging weird and getting spots. The company said I could warranty it but I haven't felt like dealing with it.
Just replaced the clutch basket, hub and friction plates (didn't do the steels, but it may need them (~$10))
New maintenance parts include a clutch cable, pads and rotors, frequent oil changes, valve adjustment, magnetic drain plug, chain and sprockets and a host of other stuff I'm certain I'm forgetting. Would also come with a ton of spare parts and extras.

The best part about it is that I just rebuilt the whole engine top to bottom. Second gear went out (it's common on these bikes) on it so I replaced ALL of the gears, shift forks, shift drum, all gaskets, and most bearings. The piston and cylinder bore were near perfect so I left those alone (have pics that show cross-hatching, etc.). The bike had about 3500 miles on it prior to the rebuild (it was a predominately dirt bike until 2011) and has had about 1500 miles since. I have photos of the rebuild process.

It starts first kick hot or cold, every time, and pulls hard all the way through the RPM range in all gears. It's not the prettiest thing in the world, but it gets me to work without fail every day. 100% reliable. Currently plated and titled in Oregon with brand new registration.

Also available: 17" supermoto wheels with about 700 miles on them. Continental SM tires, 320mm front rotor, rear rotor and sprocket also have about 700 miles on them. This is about a $1200 setup and will be for sale separately, or the buyer and I can work something out. I'll give the buyer a great deal on these.

The bike is in Portland, OR. I'm happy to help with shipping, but it is ultimately up to the buyer to figure out. Please contact me for more photos or questions. I'm happy to show the bike in person if you're local.

Honda CB900F Bol D'or

Sun, 24 Feb 2013

Slick videos shot on HD GoPros (complete with dubstep soundtracks) are now common place. But back in the late 80s, self shot videos were much thinner on the ground, due to expensive camcorders that were about the same size as a petrol tank and probably just as heavy too.In a blast from the past, 'Old love' features a Honda CB900F Bol D'or and was posted online a few days ago by the self-proclaimed 'one of the quickest 'drivers' in Langenhagen, Germany': Jan Rosanka. The Blue Order remix is a great choice to accompany the short but my favourite scene is the friendly 'hi' to camera followed by the middle finger.

2014 Honda CBR300R Announced for CIMAMotor Show

Honda announced it will present a new CBR300R sportbike at the Oct. 17-20 China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition (CIMAMotor) in Chongqing, China. A new global model, the CBR300R will be produced in Thailand, likely using the same production lines for its predecessor the CBR250R which it will likely replace in most markets.

A real Monster of a bike

Wed, 13 Jun 2012

The bike above was once a Ducati Monster S4. It was restyled by Italian custom builder Ferruccio Codutti who took a year crafting the look out for aluminium for one of his customers. Ignoring the grotesque nose, Codutti's work is impressive as the front end was made by the man himself.
