The Honda VTX1300R Retro, which combined traditional cruiser styling with cast-alloy wheels (and tubeless tires) in place of the wire wheels did well on the showroom floor, with first-year sales over 8000 units. This bike has been owned by two owners with the latter being a senior citizen. One well cared for extra sharp bike with extra sounding after market pipes. Interesting then, that despite a seeming glut in the cruiser supply, and receding sales figures from major OEMs in the past year, that new cruiser models keep coming.
2013 Honda CBR500, CB500R and CB500X Spied in Commercial Shoot
Thu, 25 Oct 2012Spy photographers have captured Honda‘s new three-bike 500-series in the midst of filming for a commercial at the Piazza Garibaldi in Naples, Italy. The images, published on Il Centro, reveal Honda‘s new sportbike-styled CBR500, the naked CB500R which we first revealed in September, as well as an adventure-styled model bearing the name CB500X. The three new models are expected to share the same engine, believed to be a 470cc parallel twin.

Tue, 10 Jan 2012My long-term Fireblade went back to Honda last week and, seeing as it’s sunny and mild outside now, I’m already missing it. It is one of the best 1000cc sports bikes out there, I don’t care what anyone else says, the way it makes its power is just perfect for fast road use. With the Power Commander 5 fitted and the fuelling sorted my 2011 Blade performed as well if not better than the 2012 version.
