Honda VTX description

2006 HONDA VTX 1300R WITH 3,076 MILES:

This VTX1300R is in like new condition, barely broken-in and has everything you would expect in a retro motorcycle. Cast wheels, a dual custom exhaust with beautiful slash/down pipes, and crisp tank-mounted instruments and gauges. Not to mention an impressive 1312cc V-twin making it sound as good as it looks. The bike has never had a mechanical problem and has been very well taken care of.

The only reason that I am listing this bike because I never ride it. I bought it with every intention of enjoying tons of ride time with my wife, however with our children’s school schedules and sports make it next to impossible to find the time. The actual mileage is 3,076. I purchased the bike from the showroom floor with zero miles on it and it has had five complete tune-ups including oil, air, plugs and rear lube.

This motorcycle is only available through pick up and I will only accept cash or a certified bank check. The motorcycle will be handed over once the money is in my account and only at that point. Needless to say, this bike will make the buyer very  whoever wins the auction, a great ride! I can send a few more photos via e-mail if anyone would like to see more. Thank you and Happy Bidding!! Good luck to everyone!

Another Cruiser?

Sun, 09 Nov 2008

In a county gone mad with cruisers, from outrageous T.V. customs to 250cc Honda Rebels, the cruiser is the largest segment of the American motorcycle market. Interesting then, that despite a seeming glut in the cruiser supply, and receding sales figures from major OEMs in the past year, that new cruiser models keep coming.

2013 AIMExpo: Skidbike

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

One of the most inventive devices seen at this week’s AIMExpo is the Skidbike, a novel creation that helps teach riders the skills to balance and to master threshold braking. It’s a Swedish/American invention originally designed to educate riders how to sufficiently apply brakes to avoid an accident without the danger of tipping over and causing injuries. It uses an electrically operated hydraulic ram built on a hinged dolly to reduce front-tire grip, which drastically reduces speeds when traction is lost so riders can learn how to use the brakes effectively.

Honda Fury Special Edition Controversy?

Fri, 17 Jul 2009

It seems the idea that there is a “special edition” Honda Fury has achieved urban-legend levels. Motorcycle.com recently spoke to Jon Seidel of American Honda to clarify some of the controversy generated in www.furyforums.com regarding a special edition Fury model. According to Seidel, no mention was ever made to the media during the Fury’s press unveiling or in any press material or at any other time, “that any Fury color or specific Fury model was a special edition.” Seidel stated that he also queried Honda’s product planning department about the existence of any special edition models and reported that no information had ever been released or implied from Honda Product Planning as to the existence of a Fury SE.
