Honda VTX description

This beautiful bike was my daily driver for several years, but due to my health I can no longer ride it.  This is a good, solid, reliable bike.  As fast as you want to go on a cruiser for certain.  It will easily bury the 130 MPH speedo.  At the top of second gear you're already at 70.  If you ride it conservatively as I usually did, you can get around 50 mpg out of it.

It now has black mirrors that are not pictured.  It's never been wrecked.  It's a two owner bike and the previous owner let it fall over in his drive way, and there are a few scratches on the right side as shown in the photos.  Nothing terrible.  Some of the engine plastic has been painted satin black.  There are a few waves in the paint on the air cleaner as shown.  The only thing it needs is front fork seals.  It is perfectly rideable as is, but they should be done eventually.  I've purchased them and they come with the bike.  There are videos on youtube that show how to change them, it's an easy job.   But make no mistake, you CAN ride it home.

It has a K&N air filter, always used Mobil 1 oil, and had fresh premium plugs installed at the last oil change which was about 500 miles ago.  The Saddle bags are leather on the outside, but have a hard shell on the inside.

If you have any questions, please ask.  The bike is located in South Austin Texas, you are welcome to come look at it and hear it, but insurance will not allow for test rides.

Thanks

( I WILL NOT CASH A CHECK AND SEND PART OF IT TO YOUR SHIPPER OR ANY OTHER NONSENSE.  A 250 deposit is due via paypal within 24 hours of the auction closing unless you have made previous arrangements with me beforehand.  I've seen every scam ebay has to offer so don't waste both our time.)

Casey Stoner To Test Factory Honda At Motegi

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

British publication MotorcycleNews.com is reporting that 2007 and 2011 MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner will test a factory Honda RC213V at the Twin Ring Motegi, Honda’s test track, August 6-7. Stoner’s shock retirement from MotoGP at the end of the 2012 season was met with skepticism in some circles, as many believed (and still do) that the 27 year-old, current Australian V8 Supercar driver would eventually make a comeback to two wheels. As it stands, HRC has no plans to enter Stoner as a wildcard entry at Phillip Island or Motegi MotoGP rounds, and insists the former champion’s services are being used strictly to help develop next year’s RC213V and the 1000cc production racer Honda plans to introduce next year.
