Honda VTX tech info

Honda VTX description
This beautiful bike was my daily driver for several years, but due to my health I can no longer ride it. This is a good, solid, reliable bike. As fast as you want to go on a cruiser for certain. It will easily bury the 130 MPH speedo. At the top of second gear you're already at 70. If you ride it conservatively as I usually did, you can get around 50 mpg out of it.
It now has black mirrors that are not pictured. It's never been wrecked. It's a two owner bike and the previous owner let it fall over in his drive way, and there are a few scratches on the right side as shown in the photos. Nothing terrible. Some of the engine plastic has been painted satin black. There are a few waves in the paint on the air cleaner as shown. The only thing it needs is front fork seals. It is perfectly rideable as is, but they should be done eventually. I've purchased them and they come with the bike. There are videos on youtube that show how to change them, it's an easy job. But make no mistake, you CAN ride it home. It has a K&N air filter, always used Mobil 1 oil, and had fresh premium plugs installed at the last oil change which was about 500 miles ago. The Saddle bags are leather on the outside, but have a hard shell on the inside. If you have any questions, please ask. The bike is located in South Austin Texas, you are welcome to come look at it and hear it, but insurance will not allow for test rides. Thanks ( I WILL NOT CASH A CHECK AND SEND PART OF IT TO YOUR SHIPPER OR ANY OTHER NONSENSE. A 250 deposit is due via paypal within 24 hours of the auction closing unless you have made previous arrangements with me beforehand. I've seen every scam ebay has to offer so don't waste both our time.) On May-29-16 at 11:07:27 PDT, seller added the following information:

Press launches - the ugly truth. Part 3
Sun, 03 Apr 2011So with an afternoon of sightseeing completed (a rare luxury on most launches) it's back to the hotel for the press conference. These are you usually long winded, tooth pulling affairs with Japanese technicians insisting on speaking their bestest engrish which only serves to elongate the proceedings. Nothing kills a presentation more than reading every word of a powerpoint slide verbatum, even thought the viewers can read exactly the same words (and probably a lot faster). The Crossrunner presentation was mercifully brief and snappy followed by dinner in the hotel and a reasonably early night as everyone had already been up for twenty hours.
Is this Valentino Rossi's missing NSR500?
Thu, 15 Apr 2010CHECK THIS: the poster of this video on YouTube is asking if the machine in the clip is an ex-Valentino Rossi Honda NSR500 GP racer. Although, the bike looks the part, we doubt it's a 'missing' Valentino two-stroker. We weren't even aware the nine-time world champ had lost one!
Johnny Depp causes high-speed crash
Fri, 15 Mar 2013I can understand that seeing Johnny Depp appear from out of nowhere might be distracting to a rider. Obviously not content with damage caused to the Honda in the video above (as a direct result of his on-track presence) Depp gets on the bike to go for a spin then crashes the bike himself. This is despite his previous Harley riding experience and some crystal clear advice about the 'killer clutch'.
