Carefully designed chrome engine accents, including manifolds, timing belt cover and reshaped head covers, add to custom styling appeal. Five-speed transmission with close gear-ratios for exciting roll-on performance. Quiet and virtually maintenance-free shaft drive. Simple-to-service screw-and-locknut valve-clearance adjusters. Tuned six-into-six exhaust system has three individual outlet pipes enclosed in a single muffler-like casing on each side. The process is tedious, and even if permission is granted, there are strict limitations as to what the material may or may not be used for. So when Honda decided to conduct its own private test (which Yamaha also joined), at the Circuit of the Americas, it was free from any and all Dorna mandates.
2013 Honda CRF250M Launched in Thailand – The Supermoto Version of the CRF250L

Like the L, the CRF250M uses re-tuned version of the CBR250R‘s engine, a liquid-cooled fuel-injected 249cc Single. When we dyno’ed the CRF250L in our recent 2013 250cc class dual-sport shootout, we measured a peak of 20.3 hp at 8700 rpm and 14.0 ft-lb.

Mon, 24 Oct 2011Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.
