LONG STORY SHORT-IT WAS PARKED A COUPLE YEARS AGO AND HAD NEW TIRES, ETC WHEN PARKED. BIKE WAS BUMPED IN DRIVEWAY BY BY BUDDIES WIFE AND HE DIDT KNOW HOW TO REPAIR THE BROKEN MIRROR, TAILIGHT, BENT FENDER and BENT PEG. PAINT IS PERFECT, SEAT IS NICE AND OTHERWISE A SUPER SHARP LOOKING BIKE WITH NICE PAINT AND RAN FLAWLESSLY WHEN PARKED-IT'S BATTERY IS DEAD AND I HAVE NOT ATTEMPTED TO START IT, BUT I TRULY BELIEVE IT WILL RUN AND DRIVE WITH A BATTERY AND MAYBE A TUNE UP AND IF NECESSARY A FUEL ADDITIVE. AGAIN, IT RAN PERFECT BEFORE BEING PARKED. IN ORDER TO AVOID PAYING THE TAG AND INSURANCE HE HAD IT TITLED INOPERABLE-NOT SALVAGE, OR WRECKED, OR ANYTHING ELSE. JUST INOPERABLE. Virginia Tech Bolt To Race At NJMP, July 12-13

The Virginia Tech Bolt e-bike racing team will compete in the July 12-13 zero emissions road race at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville NJ. This race is part of the eMotoRacing series, which runs in conjunction with AHRMA. The 96 volt student-built prototype racebike will compete in the eSuperSport class against a field of production based Brammo Empulses. The Bolt Team is no stranger to competition, as it has previous experience racing in the TTXGP series in 2012.

Classic Japanese Bikes Highlight Bonhams’ Next Auction

Bonhams’ annual fall auction, the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show, at Stafford County Showground is scheduled for October 20, 2013. Included in the auction is the above pictured 1974 Kawasaki H1-RW 500cc triple. Expected to sell for approximately $96,000 to $112,000, the Japanese works Grand Prix racer is one of only two machines built by the factory for the French Kawasaki importer SIDEMM for use in the 500cc World Championship. The bikes were ridden during the 1974 season by the French endurance racing specialist Christian Léon and French-Canadian Formula 750 star Yvon Duhamel.

Greg Tracy to Ride Amarok P1A Electric Sportbike for Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Canada’s Amarok Racing has secured quite a coup in signing six-time Pikes Peak International Hill Climb winner Greg Tracy to ride its P1A electric superbike for the 2013 edition of the event. Tracy has six class victories in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, winning in 1996, 1999, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010. His victories have come riding motorcycles from several manufacturers: Honda, Yamaha, BMW and, more recently, Ducati.
