Honda Shadow description
I'm selling my 88 Shadow VT1100C. This bike runs very well. Never been dropped and I commute back and forth to work on it just about everyday which is 62 mis round trip. The bike is mechanically sound and reliable. Could use a better paint job. The only reason I am selling this is because I want a bigger cruiser. Everything on the bike works great. It has all turn signals, drag bars with 6" risers and a full Vance & Hines slash cut exhaust system with removable baffles. The bike is very loud with the baffles removed and sounds good. I still have the baffles for them that will go with the bike. All fluids and oil filter along with the spark plugs have been changed about 2 weeks ago. I've put new handle grips on as well. New inspection sticker with a clear title. The tires are in terrific shape with plenty of tread on them still. I am asking $3,000 obo. I will throw in a large size open face helmet as well. Tue, 04 Feb 2014The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) reported a modest 1.4% growth in U.S. motorcycle and scooter sales in 2013, with consumers purchasing 465,783 vehicles. The sales data represents numbers from the MIC’s member brands which include BMW, Can-Am, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, the Piaggio Group (which includes Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa), Victory, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha.
Chattanooga Honda Dealer Fined for Allegedly Selling Recalled Models
Mon, 18 Mar 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has levied a $125,000 fine against Southern Honda Powersports following an investigation into allegations the Chattanooga, Tenn., dealership sold unrepaired recalled models. Southern Honda Powersports bills itself as the “World’s largest Honda powersports dealer”. Federal laws require dealers to stop selling models that are recalled until the defect or noncompliance issue has been remedied.
