Honda Shadow description

This bike is in great condition as you can see from the pics.  I personally feel that this is the best looking Honda shadow ever made.  The heavy metallic charcoal paint really pops out at you when in the light and the deep red flames are the perfect touch to add some attitude.  This bike has under 7k miles and is in near showroom condition.  It comes with an aftermarket windshield and sissy bar as you can see in the pictures.  It also the highly desired aftermarket Mustang seat for comfort whether you're taking one of those long distance rides or just out for the evening.  Also included is the little pocket holder on the tank.  The pocket holder is attached by Velcro towards the bottom of the tank at the seat and that is coming loose but can be replaced if you think necessary, but it's not anything to detract from the value of the bike.  The front tire is brand new and the rear is in the same condition.

Now as for the imperfections.  One of the rear signal lights has had some of the chrome scratched off, but doesn't seem to be any sort of an issue as far as leading to more peeling and you can see that in the pictures and it's cheap enough to replace if it's an issue for you. I think they are under $20 and maybe even under $10.  Also, there is one small dent on the left side of the tank just above the S in shadow.  It is very hard and almost impossible to spot unless you are looking for it and just happen to catch the right angle.  Other than that, there are some scuffs on the left foot peg.

Now by pointing these minor imperfections out to you it may seem different than what it is.  Make no mistake about it, if you were standing in front of this bike and looking at it for the first time you would be hard pressed to determine whether or not this was a brand new bike.  You need to know about the small imperfections so that you're not surprised by them, but don't let them overshadow what you're actually getting here, which is one of the most beautiful bikes on the road today.

This bike's retail value is $4130.  This is usually based upon an average of 3k miles added per year which means this bike should have anywhere from 18k-21k miles on it and it only has ONE THIRD of that with under 7k.  So if you were to use the buy it now option, you would be getting a great deal on a great bike, but don't hesitate to make me an offer because I'm capable of making and even greater deal for someone at any given moment.  It just depends on my mood at the moment.lol

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to help in any way that I can. Buy with confidence, I have 100% feedback and this bike has a clean title.

A Dizzying Lap Of Assen + Video

Wed, 30 Apr 2014

Nilox, the official action camera sponsor for the World Superbike series, has provided this clip of a lap around the Assen circuit in the Netherlands. “The Cathedral of Speed,” as it’s known, is a fan favorite because of its rich history. Its layout has also lent itself to some spectacular racing over the years.

Video: Honda Crossrunner v mountain pass

Fri, 01 Apr 2011

This road (the one in the video) was a previously unseen, super-steep mountain pass which needed first gear for the hairpins and second between them with an occasional grab at third on the quicker sections. It was the sort of road that pumps up your forearms and makes you crane your neck to see what's coming next (mainly cyclists). The surface was rubbish.

R&G announce cheaper engine case cover kits

Tue, 06 Sep 2011

R&G Racing has reacted to the rising cost of official motorcycle parts from manufacturers by creating money saving packages on its Engine Case Covers. As a reaction to the parts price rise, the crash protection leader has created a kit package on its Engine Case Covers (ECC) – offering an overall saving of more than 10% when compared to buying the items individually. The ECCs are designed to protect the engine cases and the inner workings of the motor in the event of a drop by acting as a sturdy ‘second skin’.By simply bolting over the original items, fitting the durable Engine Case Covers doesn’t require draining any engine fluids or replacing gaskets. Extensively developed in the ACU R&G Racing Suzuki GSX-R600 Trophy, as well as being tested and approved by the California Superbike School in the UK and USA, the covers can allow a bike to be ridden after a crash or prevent terminal engine damage from oil leaks or casing punctures.Protection benefits aside, financial savings for riders are evident by looking at official parts prices; to replace only the clutch cover on a Suzuki GSX-R1000K7 would cost £206 including a new gasket, but all three R&G Engine Case Covers for this bike cost only £143.
