2013 Long Beach International Motorcycle Show Report

Today the motorcycle press descended upon the Long Beach Convention Center to attend media day at the annual International Motorcycle Show. After feasting from a continental breakfast buffet the discerning journalists set to the task of reporting on the bounty of new model motorcycles – most of which has been previously showcased in our November EICMA reporting. Honda And Repsol Celebrate 20 Years Together

If we were to play a game of word association, the mention of “Repsol” would automatically trigger “Honda” from the audience, or at least anyone who pays the slightest bit of attention to Grand Prix racing. That’s because the two companies have achieved much success in this, their 20th year as partners. The longest running partnership between sponsor and manufacturer in the history of the Motorcycle World Championship, Repsol Honda has won 10 World titles, 124 race wins and 338 podiums in 500cc and MotoGP.

Preliminary 2012 MotoGP Entry List Released

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has released a preliminary entry list for the 2012 MotoGP World Championship. The provisional list includes 21 riders in the premiere class, including nine classified as Claiming Rule Team entries. Defending MotoGP Champion Casey Stoner will wear the #1 plate for the 2012 season, the first with both CRT entries and the new 1000cc engine displacement cap.
