On Board the 2012 Honda CBR1000RR with Jake Zemke

Veteran AMA racer Jake Zemke was on hand for the recent press intro for the 2012 Honda CBR1000RR. We asked Jake to go a couple of laps for us at Infineon Raceway with our GoPro camera to show us what it’s like to ride the CBR for someone used to pushing the bike to its limits. Karel Abraham to Ride Honda Production Racer for 2014 MotoGP season

MotoGP team Cardion AB announced it plans to field rider Karel Abraham in the 2014 Championship on Honda‘s new RC213V-based production racer. Cardion AB becomes the second MotoGP team to select Honda’s production racer. The Gresini Racing team will also use the Honda machine, which is no surprise considering the team’s history with Honda prototypes.

Honda RCV1000R MotoGP Production Racer Revealed

Honda Racing Corporation officially introduced its new RCV1000R production racer which will be sold to racing teams hoping to compete in MotoGP‘s new “Open” prototype class. The RCV1000R is based on Honda’s RC213V factory prototype, with the same chassis and a similar 90° V-4 engine claiming more than 234 hp at 16000 rpm. The key difference is the engine uses traditional spring valves whereas the valves on the RC213V are activated pneumatically.
