EICMA 2013: Returning 2014 Honda Models Announced

Along with an all-new CTX1300 and CBR1000RR SP announced at the 2013 EICMA show, Honda announced several more models returning for 2014 with some minor updates and new color options. Several of these models, such as the 500 series and the Gold Wing F6B were only introduced last year, so they receive just a palette update, while other models like the NC700X return with minor tweaks. MotoGP to Hold Official Test in Argentina; South American Nation Returning to Calendar for 2014

Dorna Sports announced there will be a MotoGP test at Argentina’s Circuito Internacional Termas de Rio Hondo in July to allow teams to prepare for the track’s expected addition to the 2014 MotoGP calendar. Argentina was actually supposed to join the MotoGP tour this season, but the round was scrapped because of a dispute between the country and Spain after the Argentine government seized control of a Repsol subsidiary. Repsol is, of course, a prominent sponsor of several teams including Honda‘s factory team.

Having a Randy Mamola moment

Back in 1985 Randy Mamola was captured on film performing the most miraculous save of all time, hanging on for dear life as his Honda NSR500 tried to fling him from his seat. Recently, we've seen some impromptu homages to the original with Jonathan Rea at Assen and the near-save from Jakub Kornfeil in the Moto3 race at Jerez. Now we have on-board footage of American racer Genki Hagata calming a high-side at the Infineon Raceway in California.
