Honda Shadow description

Only selling due to disability. The rig's a 1998 Honda Shadow 1100 with ONLY 30,768 ORIGINAL MILES; for a Honda, that's barely broken in. It's been mated with a 2005 Velorex sidecar. I used to be a distance rider, but unfortunately, that's not the case anymore. Someone needs to take over what I began, i.e., breaking in this wonderful bike!

I've had to remove the cowling (will be replaced) on the sidecar in order to put my walker in it. I live surrounded by the water here in Florida, and even though I've tried to keep the rig covered, it has plenty of surface ruse; something a little elbow grease and an able-bodied person can handle. The seats need reupholstery but are still "useable". The only other "problem" is that just yesterday, the driving lights AND my neutral light went out; I'm guessing lightbulb, but I'm no expert.

This is a GREAT rig that handles like a dream due to the tilt and trim, which I added when I bought it; helps with road camber issues, making steering a little bit easier. It also has Kury grips, a heel-toe shifter and a brake installed on the side car wheel. It rides and handles wonderfully well at all speeds.

Purple mermaids have been airbrushed on the sidecar, front and back, and there's some design-type of work/airbrushing done on the sides of the tank and the fenders; it's ready to be touched up - as for the gentleman, it'll probably get an entire coat of new paint!

I live in SWFL and any/all delivery options are the buyer's responsibility. This rig is being sold "AS IS"

This rig will be a STEAL for someone. Make me an offer I can't refuse.

When sold, I'll require $2000 down with the rest due at title exchange.

2013 Repsol Honda Team Livery Revealed

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Repsol Honda revealed the livery off its RC213V racebikes and leathers of riders Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez for the 2013 MotoGP season. The livery is again dominated by the colors of the team’s top sponsor, Spanish oil giant Repsol, but with more white and less black, particularly along the bottom of the fairing. The Repsol logos on the sides now slope downward toward the swingarm whereas the previous design had them rising up toward the seat.

Press launches - the ugly truth. Part 3

Sun, 03 Apr 2011

So with an afternoon of sightseeing completed (a rare luxury on most launches) it's back to the hotel for the press conference. These are you usually long winded, tooth pulling affairs with Japanese technicians insisting on speaking their bestest engrish which only serves to elongate the proceedings. Nothing kills a presentation more than reading every word of a powerpoint slide verbatum, even thought the viewers can read exactly the same words (and probably a lot faster).  The Crossrunner presentation was mercifully brief and snappy followed by dinner in the hotel and a reasonably early night as everyone had already been up for twenty hours.

Honda CRF450R Gets Further Refined for 2014

Tue, 14 May 2013

The CRF250R received a significant update for 2014, including a new frame and dual-exhaust setup first introduced in the CRF450R  which itself received a substantial update year. The current-generation CRF450R may only be a year old, but that didn’t stop Honda from introducing a couple of refinements for 2014. For 2014, Honda had tweaked the engine, adding new intake and exhaust ports and a new dual-timing fuel injection setup.
