1994 Honda VT 600 Shadow with Unknown Mileage. This bike is a bit older than most of the bikes that we sell so it has been priced to reflect that fact. It has a 600 CC V-Twin cylinder, 4 stroke engine with a five gear transmission. There is a single disk brake on the front and a shoe brake on the rear wheel to provide plenty of stopping power. We have rated the bike as being in Average condition for its age, mostly due the dent in the gas tank. A Weighty Issue
Mon, 03 Nov 2008For as long as I can remember, motorcycle manufacturers have been playing fast and loose with regard to what they claim for the weight of their bikes. The “dry weights” they foisted upon us had little basis in reality. The “dry” part of that claim meant that listed weights on a spec chart were the result of all fluids being MIA from the bike, including necessities like engine oil, coolant and fork fluid (not to mention fuel), but even that didn’t fully explain the overly optimistic specs.

2010-2011 Honda Shadow VT750 Recall
Mon, 13 Jun 2011Honda has initiated a recall campaign for certain 2010-2011 Shadow series cruisers due to a problem with their bank angle sensors. According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the bank angle sensors may incorrectly read that the motorcycle is leaning. The bank sensor uses a weighted pendulum that swings into a motorcycle’s lean.
