Honda Shadow description

Good looking 1993 Honda Shadow bike in great running condition. Minor superficial scratches and normal wear. Overall very nice condition. Chassis has almost 50,000 miles, but drive train was replaced with engine and transmission with under 9,000 miles from a 1997 shadow that was damaged in an accident, but the drive train was not damaged (odometer from parts bike included). This upgrade also added a 6th gear to the bike, making the top speed higher. New tires included (not installed).

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has now released documents from American Honda’s recall of ABS-equipped CTX700 and CTX700N that shed some more light into the issue. According to the documentation, a manufacturing error may have resulted in Nissin ABS modulators being contaminated with aluminum chips.

Sat, 01 Nov 2008

KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.
