1979 Yamaha XS (1979)
Up for sale is a barn find 1979 Yamaha XS Eleven with a complete Vetter Windjammer Kit. Motorcycle was purchased new by the last owner in 1979 and was driven on the road until around 1989, then it went into storage. I haven't tried to hook up a battery and to start it, it sat for such an long time and that's something for the new owner to go thru all parts. Engine turns free, tires holding air and there's a dent in the tank.2024-06-22 09:52:18Howell, Michigan, United States6,812849.00

1977 Yamaha XS 750 (1977)
This motorcycle is in great condition. It was given fresh paint and upholstery in 2007. It gets regular service, and only synthetic oil. No mechanical issues and no leaks. It starts and runs well. But it is 36 years old and does have its quirks, such as being cold blooded, and it sometimes requires feathering of the throttle at stops. The bike does have normal patina for its age, and I have included several photos to show examples. This a great looking classic 1970s bike, and I get a lot of complements, especially because it is a triple. The shaft drive is great- no mess and very little maintenance.2013-10-17 00:14:36Petoskey, Michigan, US26,2002,000.00

YAMAHA TX650 CAFE RACER!!! CLEAN MACHINE! (1973)
1973 Yamaha TX650 Model Overview- Yamaha's 650 twin is a well known machine for it's looks, performance and reliability. "When the Yamaha XS 650 was launched in 1968 it had one of the most advanced engines in its class of large parallel twin motorcycles. The engine and gearbox are unit construction with the crankcase split horizontally for ease of assembly whereas almost all contemporaries in its class in 1968 are either unit construction with a vertically split crankcase or pre-unit construction with separate engine and gearbox.2013-09-27 18:10:46Dearborn, Michigan, US19,4001,925.00

2024 Honda Transalp Review – First Ride
Fri, 03 Nov 2023A European staple comes to America Photos by Align Media/Honda Adventure bikes weren’t really a thing in 1989, at least not in the United States. Even BMW’s venerable GS was nothing more than a misunderstood, oversized dual-purpose machine with ties to the Paris-Dakar rally, which itself was only a little more than a decade old at the time. At the back of the dealership where I worked in 1991, parked next to the tire rack, languished a 1989 Honda XL600V Transalp.

Honda HQ is effectively a campus, with multiple buildings interlinked by arteries of short roads. Walking is the usual method people use to get around.
