EICMA 2008: First Impressions

I have had a little walk around checking out the preparations for the show. I haven’t seen anything that I haven’t already seen or heard about previously, but here’s a selection from three of the halls. WSBK Racing Game Announced for Mobile Devices

Italian software developer Digital Tales is producing the first fully-licensed World Superbike Championship video game for mobile devices. The WSBK mobile game for tablet and smartphone devices was introduced at the 2013 EICMA show, with racers such as Pata Honda‘s Michel Fabrizio and two-time defending Superstock 1000 Champion Sylvain Barrier demonstrating the game for EICMA visitors. Digital Tales previously produced a MotoGP game in 2010 and the Ducati Challenge game for iOS devices.

Bonhams To Auction Bruce Smith Collection Of Original Illustrations

On October 20, Bonhams will be auctioning off a collection of original illustrations by Bruce Smith from the 1960s and 1970s. Each one will be signed by Smith on heavy cartridge paper. The collection is comprised of cutaway illustrations of a 1963 Royal Enfield Interceptor 750cc, Chris Vincent’s 1964 BSA 650cc A65 Race Outfit, and a 1966 Greeves Racer, the largest of this series being 45cm x 62cm.
