The story behind the low mileage is that the elderly woman who bought it new in 1983 rode it 27 mis and tipped it over once. Evidently, it scared her enough that she parked it for the next 10yrs in her garage. In 1993, She sold it to an elderly male friend who brought it back to life (new battery and gas) and rode it 113mis around his neighborhood. He had a near death crash on his Goldwing (hit a deer). After he recuperated, his wife convinced him NO MORE two WHEELED VEHICLES! So, he parked the scooter for the next 20 yrs. Summer of 2013, his grand daughter saw it in the garage and wanted it. Grandma said NO WAY, SELL IT NOW! He brought it back to life again (new battery and gas) in and sold it so their grand daughter wouldn't be tempted anymore. The only bad thing is that he never registered the scooter but the back of the title was filled out with him as the new owner back in 1993. So, the title is basically useless for a new owner because it is in his name. He would have to register the scooter, get the new title and then sign it over to me, I'd have to register the scooter and then sign it over to the winner of this ebay auction. Instead of going through all that expensive nonsense, I'm selling this scooter with a BILL OF SALE ONLY. You can have the original title but I don't think it will do you any good. Comes with original owners manual, service manual, one key and other paperwork. I am technically the third owner and have ridden it less than 1mi. It is such a cool scooter & fun to ride. I'd love to ride it for 1000's of miles but can't bare to put any more miles on this low mileage beauty. Enthusiasts that have the passion and a love for these quirky, retro-cool 1980's Honda scooters know that it really should be in a museum or someones mancave. New air filter, spark plug and NAPA battery. Tires are aired up to 36lbs and this scooter is ready to ride or better yet, be put in a museum due to its super low mileage. It is undoubtedly the lowest mileage example of the 1983 NH80. Here's a really good review of the NH80 scooter. http://www.motorscooterguide.net/Honda/Aero80/Aero80.html Here's a brochure from Austrailia showing the NH80 and all its specs. http://www.motorscooterguide.net/Brochures/NH80Australia.pdf Here are a couple videos I took of the scooter today (11/14). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLJAQmUaHS0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g76gp0RFbik MORE PICS HERE http://smg.photobucket.com/user/esop/slideshow/honda%20aero%2080/1983%20Honda%20Aero%2080%20-%20140%twenty miles Check out my other items for a near mint 1978 Honda NC50 Express with a full service done. Over $500 in new parts! Ready to ride!

Q3 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

Motorcycle and scooter sales in the U.S. in 2013 remain consistent with last year’s figures, according to data released by the Motorcycle Industry Council. Several manufacturers blamed poor weather for the poor start this year, and the rebounding sales in the third quarter helped to negate the slow sales from earlier in the year.

Moto2 needs more radical bikes

Wed, 05 Sep 2012

Makers of fine exhausts, Taylormade Racing have built a Moto2 racer that harks back to the innovative machines like the Elf Honda 500 and Britten V1000. Since Moto2's inception in 2010 the class has featured bikes with conventional chassis but the Taylormade bike, designed by Paul Taylor and John Keogh, has a radical design featuring a carbon-fibre monocoque frame, carbon-fibre swingarm, wishbone monoshock front suspension and an under-seat radiator. However, with such radical engineering the inherent problem is that it is a risk for teams to invest in such a project.
