Honda Other description

2013 Honda VFR1200F DCT, The Bike of Tomorrow -- Today.Where do you even start with a machine like Hondaa??s revolutionary VFR1200F? Herea??s a machine that showcases innovation and technology like a motorcycle transported from the future. Start with its super-compact UnicamA? design 1237cc V4 engine, fueled by Hondaa??s first-ever Throttle By Wire system. Traction Control? You bet. And together with Hondaa??s Combined Braking with standard ABS, that makes the VFR one of our most impressive machines when it comes to dealing with challenging traction under acceleration or braking. But perhaps most striking is the VFRa??s Honda Dual-Clutch Automatic Transmission: Six speeds, two clutches, and your choice of changing gears with a pair of F1-style paddle shifters or letting the bike shift itself.Warp Drive: One of the most advanced streetbike powerplants ever, the VFR1200Fa??s 1237cc UnicamA?-head V4 is state-of-the-engine-art from top to bottom end.Dual-Clutch Transmission: Shift gears, on the fly, with a simple flick of your left finger or thumb? Thata??s just one of the modes on the VFR1200Fa??s incredible new dual clutch transmission.Performance Art: The VFR1200Fa??s layered concept fairing offers a smooth, unified, fastener-free surface right off the MotoGP circuit. Never have aerodynamics and aesthetics worked so well together.

Tue, 07 Jul 2009

Picture a Motorcycle in your mind, any Motorcycle. It could be one you own, want to own, one you’ve seen. Can you picture it?  What Brand is it?  What Model, year, how fast does it go?  You can probably picture each of these elements vividly.

Joey Dunlop on a V4 Honda at the '83 TT

Fri, 28 Sep 2012

Onboard video footage doesn't get a lot better than this: Joey Dunlop during practice at the TT in 1983 onboard a factory Honda RS850R. An 859cc ultra-short stroke V4 Honda that Joey mastered around The Island, later winning the TT Formula 1. Although the 'production' race, the RS850R stretched that to the limit.
