2012 Honda NC700X, The NC700X is a new concept in streetbikes, with an engine that offers a generous helping of useable torque, and is big enough for longer rides, but not a handful in tight traffic or in a parking lot. Its available in two versions: one model features a conventional six-speed, manual-clutch transmission, while a second version is available with the automatic Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). Repsol to Sponsor 15-Year-Old Female Racer
Wed, 22 Feb 2012Spanish oil company and frequent racing sponsor Repsol has reportedly close to signing 15-year-old Red Bull Rookies Cup racer Maria Herrera to its stable of riders. Herrera, the 2011 Mediterranean PreGP Champion, is the first female racer to be selected to compete in the Red Bull Rookies Cup, a youth racing series held jointly with the MotoGP tour. Herrera also trains with MotoGP racer Alvaro Bautista.

Roczen, who also won the season opening Anaheim 1 round, took advantage of a mistake by Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto to take the win and move within nine points of the defending champion in the rider standings. The main event started with Smartop Motoconcepts Suzuki rider Mike Alessi taking the holeshot for his best start this season.
Honda to Shift Mid and Large Displacement Motorcycle Production to Thailand
Tue, 29 Nov 2011Honda is reportedly moving production of 400cc and larger motorcycles to Thailand from Japan to reduce production costs and overcome the rising value of the yen. According to Japanese news outlet Daily Yomiuri, Honda plans to produce 400cc and 500cc models at a new factory to be built in the suburbs of Bangkok, Thailand. Honda currently produces small displacement models such as the CBR250R in Thailand, with larger models coming out of Honda’s factory in Kumamoto, Japan.
