Honda Other description

2005 Honda VT750, You are looking at a 2005 Honda Shadow Spirit with only 8500 miles. We are selling it in our Scratch and Dent bargain section. This bike has some small issues however it does not have any scratches or dents. The tires are good, it has a set of Vance and Hines exhaust that sounds excellent. The factory flame paint is excellent. Listed below are the reasons it does not meet our standards. The rear fender was modified and the license plate was moved to the side. It has tall ape bars with mis matched cables, the wiring should be routed inside the bars to look clean. The throttle cables are too long and need to be re routed. It has extended forward controls that makes it difficult for a shorter person to ride. The rear shocks have been lowered to give it the look, it just makes it not have as much suspension travel. This would be a great bobber, because it has a good start. The motor is quiet, runs strong and no leaks. We are not going to wash it, change oil or do any service to the bike. If you would like it serviced we will do it for an extra charge. Look at the pictures and watch the video, this is a great bike for the right tall person. Here at American Motorcycle Trading Co we strive to provide clean quality bikes, because of our large volume we acquire alot of trade-ins that are good bikes but just dont meet our standards. They may have alot of miles or cosmetic defects. We would normally sell these bikes to a wholesaler or send them to the auction. Buying countless tatty bikes. And that Marquez fella

Fri, 10 May 2013

A South African friend of mine called Trevor Binder told me last weekend I’m quite obviously in the advanced stages of a terrible disease. He recognises the affliction because he admits to suffering from the same condition for many years and so far hasn’t found a cure.  He says he can’t stop collecting bikes and while I didn’t think I had a problem, last weekend he pointed out I should be careful as I’m starting to acquire bikes at an alarming rate. I wasn’t really worried about spending a modest amount of cash an old KTM 125 race bike, a 350 LC and a Fizzy over the past six months but Trevor says I’m on a slippery slope.  He says it always starts with bikes that have some sentimental value but then swiftly moves on to buying any old tat.  Trevor is a wealthy man with dozens of nice bikes in his collection but more recently has been on Gumtree bidding for £150 Solex front wheel drive step - thrus, and doesn’t know why.  Closer to home, James Whitham has recently confirmed he may also have these symptoms and is actively seeking therapy.  I’ll be monitoring the situation from now on but in the meantime if anyone hears of a reasonably priced Raleigh Wisp for sale please let me know.

2015 Honda CBR300R Announced for USA

Tue, 03 Jun 2014

American Honda announced it will offer the CBR300R for the 2015 model year. First unveiled at last fall’s CIMAMotor show in China and also appearing at EICMA in Italy, we were hoping the CBR250R replacement would have arrived in the U.S. earlier in the spring.

WSBK 2012: Assen Results

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick.
