Honda Other description

2002 Honda GL 1800 Gold Wing, 2002 Honda GL1800 Gold Wing (with less than 20,000 Miles) Though unchanged for 2002, Hondas big boy is still riding high on a wave of enthusiasm generated from last years complete renovation. For 2001, Honda assembled a laundry list of sportbike-like components and melded them into what was, and still is, arguably the most impressive full-dress touring motorcycle to date. when it comes down to polished and (near) perfected long-haul capabilities, the Gold Wing rules the roost. At the heart of the beast beats an ultra smooth running, fuel injected, 1832cc, liquid-cooled horizontally opposed six that is nearly 2.5 pounds lighter than the previous generations powerplant. Honda claims 118-bhp and a gargantuan 125 pound-feet of torque, transferred to the rear tire through an all-new five speed transmission (with overdrive) and shaft drive assembly.Cradling the monster engine is a semi-exposed multi box-section aluminum dual-spar frame, which increased rigidity and replaced the older models steel design, lightening the load to the tune of 25 pounds in the process. Couple that with a Pro Arm single-sided swingarm and youve got a chassis that would look at home on an RC51. Think were kidding? The fork is now a stout 45mm cartridge unit with a new anti-dive system, working in conjunction with a Pro Link shock delivering 4.1 inches of travel. Wide, cast aluminum wheels and meaty radial tires reduce unsprung weight and vastly improve available traction. Shock preload can be easily set depending on your load and type of riding by using the computer controlled preload adjustment button on the left fairing two memory settings simplify the job even more. Everything designed into the new GL was geared to make the bike more powerful, better handling and more comfortable. This bike is coming loaded with lots of extra chrome , adjustable driver back rest and C.B. with full hand controls. This bike and many others can be seen at our Brenny’s east location, at 3924State Street Bettendorf, Iowa 52722 or on-line at brennys dot com for more information please call us at 563-359-7333

2011 Vyrus Moto2 Grand Prix Racer Preview

Fri, 14 Jan 2011

Motorbike cognoscenti recognize the Vyrus name, the Italian brand producing exotic sportbikes based on the amazing hub-center-steered Bimota Tesi. The Vyrus story begins when Bimota filed for bankruptcy in the early 2000s. Vyrus principal Ascanio Rodorigo, a former Bimota employee, began producing his version of the Tesi after Bimota let its patents expire while it was in bankruptcy.

Isle of Man TT 2014: Sure Sidecar TT 2 Results

Thu, 05 Jun 2014

Dave Molyneux won his 17th career TT as he and passenger Patrick Farrance took the second Sidecar race of the 2014 Isle of Man TT. Molyneux is the career leader in Sidecar TT wins and third overall in total Isle of Man TT victories behind Joey Dunlop and John McGuinness. Molyneux and Farrance won the race by a good 44-second margin but they benefited greatly from a mechanical problem plaguing early race leaders John Holden and Andrew Winkle.

WSBK: 2012 Magny-Cours Results – Championship Decided by Half a Point

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

You would think carrying a 30.5 point lead into the final round of the 2012 World Superbike Championship would be a safe enough margin to win the title. Aprilia‘s Max Biaggi made it interesting, inexplicably crashing out of the first race at the finale in Magny-C0urs before scoring a fifth place finish in Race Two to give him a 0.5 point margin over Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes to win the title. The 358 to 357.5 point difference is the narrowest finish ever in WSBK.
