Selling my 2001 RC51 for $3,500 OBO. Bike has new tires, brakes, battery, radiator, all new oils and fluids, chain, and front sprocket. Also has a Scotts steering stabalizer as well as dual 2 Brothers racing slip on exhausts and a corbin after market seat. Bike is down geared one tooth on the front sprocket and up two teeth on the rear sprocket and is extremely fast off of the line. The odometer is NOT true mileage due to the bike being down geared. Bike has less miles than what odometer reads. Odometer reading is: 18,XXX miles. CLEAR TITLE, and title in hand. Test rides will require cash in hand and M1 license. Bike does have scratches and blemishes from previous owner droping the bike in his driveway. Was not crashed at any amount of speed, previous owner tipped over while unloading the bike from his vehicle. The forks do have a leak and will need to be resealed. I have talked to four different shops and all estimated resealing the forks for around $450 or you can do it yourself if you have the head stand but besides that the bike runs strong and has no major issues. I recently bought a new bike and need to make room in the garage so this bike unfortunately has to go ASAP. ***WILL NOT TRADE. Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba
Fri, 24 Jun 2011This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.

Several manufacturers blamed poor weather for the poor start this year, and the rebounding sales in the third quarter helped to negate the slow sales from earlier in the year.
60's styled electric concept bike

From Barcelona design studio ART-TIC the Monocasco takes its styling cues from Ossa's monocoque racing bike that was introduced at the end of the 1960s. Spain's first motorcycle Grand Prix hero, Herrero took the bike to four victories before his fatal crash in the 1970 Isle of Man TT.
