The bike has the typical Goldwing extras such as radio, CD player, CB radio, electronic cruise control, dual memory suspension settings, two 12 volt receptacles for various electronic gadgets, etc. Extras include a windshield with yellow tint stripe and built-in air vent, many chrome trim pieces, cruise pegs, Cobra radar detector, and two new Dunlop tires ready for mounting. The paint has been touched-up along the bottom of the right side saddle bag and bag trim piece. In normal daylight it appears to be shadowing and is difficult to see. Stoner Pulls Back, Skips Day 1 of Honda MotoGP Testing at Sepang

Reigning MotoGP Champion Casey Stoner pulled his back during his morning stretches leaving teammate Dani Pedrosa to fly the Repsol Honda colors on the first day of the MotoGP pre-season test at Mayalsia’s Sepang circuit. As Stoner received treatment for his back, Pedrosa put in 48 laps to lead all riders. Riding the Honda RC213V, Pedrosa’s best lap time was 2:02.003, making him second fastest on the day behind only Yamaha‘s Jorge Lorenzo and his 2:01.657 time.

American Honda Pledges $500,000 in Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief

American Honda announced a pledge of $500,000 to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy. The contribution includes both monetary aide as well as Honda-produced portable generators and water pumps. Honda is also establishing a company fund, matching its associates’ personal contributions.

We’re just days away from the start of the 2014 MotoGP season and one would think it’s a little late for series organizers to make any significant rule changes. At least, one would think that if one were unfamiliar with the political back-and-forths going on between the major manufacturers and MotoGP promoter Dorna. But with the season-opening Qatar round about to begin, the Grand Prix Commission approved new rules establishing a compromise between the new Factory and Open options.
