At least Honda’s had the decency to change its nomenclature over the years to give the impression of evolution. Kawasaki is standing pat with the 292 cc Single that’s powered its KLX since 1996, along with its KLX nomenclature.
Aspar MotoGP Team Reveals Honda RCV1000R Livery
Tue, 25 Feb 2014Team Aspar revealed its new livery for its Honda RCV1000R racebikes. The team revealed the silver and green livery in Malaysia, where riders Nicky Hayden and Hiroshi Aoyama will join the rest of the MotoGP grid in preseason test at the Sepang circuit. The colors represent the Malaysian energy drink manufacturer Drive M7 which signed a three-year deal to be the team’s title sponsor.

Wed, 30 Jun 2010With the two test riders coming forward to act as replacement riders for the injured Rossi and Aoyama, it brought back memories of the days when the grid would be gifted with wildcard riders from the respective countries. The Japanese rounds were always attended by some of the top guys with experience of the 500GP and MotoGP bikes, through racing them in their domestic championships. What resulted was getting to witness the exciting and talented Japanese riders, and bring new riders to the attention of the teams.
