Honda Other description

Not the prettiest bike, but will definitely get you around town.

The bad, could use a tune up, new brake pads, an oil change, leaks oil, seat has a rip in it, speedometer is loose and duct taped (never had any problems with it), there is rust, left turn signal is loose, tires could be replaced (I've had no issues with them), clutch occasionally slips out of 1st and into N.

The good, it starts every time and runs great, it's cheap, the engine has had no issues, it is a great commuter bike and handles really well on the freeways, controls work, it's not a race bike but is very quick off the line.

This is a great bike to practice on and develop skills before buying an expensive bike and dropping it. I've scraped the pegs but have never had this bike down. Don't risk buying a $10,000 + bike and dropping it. Dropping a $10,000 bike will cost more to fix than the price of this bike!

Isle of Man TT 2012: Supersport TT Race 1 Results

Mon, 04 Jun 2012

Padett’s Honda racer Bruce Anstey won the first Monster Energy Supersport TT race of the 2012 Isle of Man TT by a mere 0.77 seconds over rider Cameron Donald. The race could have been even closer if Gary Johnson, another Honda rider, hadn’t run out of gas on the final lap. Before he ran out of fuel, Johnson was in the mix with Anstey and Donald with just 0.62 seconds separating the three riders.

If you were ever curious how to convert your smelly, noisy and dirty gas powered motorcycle into a quiet and zero emissions electric motorcycle then you have to check this video out from GomiStyle.  They take an old Honda Rebel 250 and customize the frame to accommodate the electric motor and batteries, they claim the conversion should take about two to three days to complete, the batteries will take about 5-8 hours to charge and will give you a top speed of 45 mph. Here is a link to the step-by-step instructions, check out the video after the jump. The GomiCycle – An Electric Motorcycle Conversion from Media Sapien on Vimeo.
