1983 Honda Other on 2040-motos
Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States
Honda Other description
This 1983 Honda Interceptor was originally purchased new by my father in 1983. It is a one owner bike and was modified with racing exhaust system and re-jetted with a dynojet kit. He dropped it a couple times and there is some scrapping on the engine side covers and exhaust tips, but the fairing and all other bodywork is undamaged. There is a dent in the tank as seen in the pic and a couple of scratches also. This is a very low mileage bike and ran great when last parked about 5 years ago. Engine turns over fine with jumper cables, but it needs a battery, fresh gas and the fuel system cleaned to start and run properly. Have clean title in hand. |

Settings can be changed swiftly by undoing the two set screws securing the throttle body and changing the rotor. On the fastest setting there is 80° of rotation, (taking up 36mm of the cable), which is typically 45% faster than 'standard' throttles.
Small-Displacement Class Considered for 2015 AMA Pro Racing Season
Wed, 04 Dec 2013More and more manufacturers are entering the small-displacement sportbike market and AMA Pro Racing has taken notice, opening the possibility of adding a new racing class representing the growing segment. With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.
