Honda Other description

I have a 1982 Honda Silverwing GL500 that I am looking to either sell or trade- It's just a little bigger than what I want at the moment. Runs strong and starts right up- I just put in a brand new battery. Could use a new front part of the seat, its kind of torn up and the horn doesn't work. Needs throttle cable and clutch cable adjusted (accelerates a bit when tugged). Has a new front headlamp but it has not been painted yet. Also it comes with all the attachments which I can send images of if you want. Lowered the price $100 because of the easy fixes that need to be made. Garage kept since I've owned it.As far as trades go I'm interested in bikes, trucks and sport utilities but open to anything really- no toys, projects or guns though. Email me or for a fast response you can text me at, but I won't be able to take calls. Thanks!

Stocking filler suggestion: 3

Fri, 10 Dec 2010

Before going out on my high-powered motorcycle I always like to make sure that I'm wearing clean boxers with good elastic. Having once been admitted to A&E in a tatty pair of shreddies that weren't only on inside out (improved mileage) but were also on back to front (got dressed in the dark) and - if that wasn't already embarrassing enough - the elastic in the waistband had gone, too. Deep shame. To avoid any similar thunder-pant faux-pas, Red Torpedo have decided to run a Christmas offer so that everyone can get a pair of funky Crawford pants in a tin to put in their stocking as well as a "pick your own" brand new PRIMO quality t-shirt all for £25 - a festive saving of ten, whole English pounds.

Postie Bike Challenge [video]

Fri, 19 Jun 2009

The Postie Bike Challenge started in 2002 as a one-off event in Brisbane, Australia to prove that small bikes can travel long distances over both asphalt, dirt, sand, or stony surfaces has turned into a 10-day charity event.  The entry fee is $4,000 but almost everything is taken care of, including: Late model Honda CT110 Postie bike (registered to you!) All breakfasts, lunches and dinners All fuel for the trip One way air ticket back to Brisbane Support truck to carry equipment, clothing bag and mechanics Final celebration dinner and hotel accommodation That’s right, you can keep the Honda CT110 Postie bike (designed for commercial and agricultural, also used by Australia Post) but the concept is to give the bike to charity in your name after the event is over, its up to you but more than 90% of the participants do give the bike back. Hit the jump to see the video and for more info on this years trek. The 2009 Postie Bike Challenge will take place from October 3rd to the 13th and will go from Brisbane to Melbourne, the destination changes every year.  The route taken will be about 2,000 miles (the direct route is about 1,000 miles).  If your interested, get your entry form and deposit in ASAP, last years event was sold out.

The unseen Honda collection

Thu, 07 Jan 2010

IN AN UMARKED warehouse in Torrance, California, lies a collection of classic Honda cars and motorcycles from the past four decades - most have never been seen by public eyes. The collection was started by a former executive of American Honda, Tom Elliott, Honda USA's executive vice president for sales, John Mendel, tells the New York Times.“The problem was, we kept turning up more and more significant models that we couldn’t let go of,” said Mr. Mendel. We just kept parking them in this warehouse.
