Honda Other description

This 1981 Honda Twinstar is in amazing condition. It has 4,020mis on the odometer. A Honda Helix came up for sale that I bought and being an old guy I would rather not have to mess with shifting gears. I have over $1900 invested in the bike and upgrades. Bike has new Windshield, front tire and tube, chrome trim around the gas tank, case saver with highway pegs, OEM Hondaline luggage rack, locking top box with back rest, led spoiler and turn signals, saddlebags, chrome license plate frame with tail and stop lamps. Also comes with extra complete front wheel (tire is weather cracked) and good condition chrome seat grab rail. The only issues with this bike are that the key will come out of the ignition when in the On position and the back tire is weather cracked, although it has plenty of tread left. The highway pegs were not on the bike when the images were taken. The Twinstar also comes with a Honda Factory Shop Manual and an owners manual for a 1980 Honda Twinstar 200 cc (couldn't find a 1981 manual on Ebay). The bike has an antique license plate good for 5 yrs and eliminates the need for annual state inspections. It may be possible to transfer the plate to your name. Cash only. Thanks for looking.

Did you get your bike serviced at George White Slough?

Thu, 18 Aug 2011

Unfortunately, The George White branch at Slough has closed which means the sales, clothing and servicing departments are all gone. I got to know a few of the guys there as they're local to me and helped put my 848 Challenge bike together. If you used to get your bike serviced there, you might wonder where you can now go to get it done.

2024 Honda Transalp Review – First Ride

Fri, 03 Nov 2023

A European staple comes to America Photos by Align Media/Honda Adventure bikes weren’t really a thing in 1989, at least not in the United States. Even BMW’s venerable GS was nothing more than a misunderstood, oversized dual-purpose machine with ties to the Paris-Dakar rally, which itself was only a little more than a decade old at the time. At the back of the dealership where I worked in 1991, parked next to the tire rack, languished a 1989 Honda XL600V Transalp.

More European Consumers Choosing Honda’s Dual Clutch Transmission

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

Honda‘s work developing its second-generation dual clutch transmission appears to be paying off, at least in Europe. According to Honda, customers have purchased more than 12,500 units with DCT since the technology was first made available on a production motorcycle with the VFR1200F in 2010. The Japanese manufacturer now offers four models in Europe with optional DCT: the VFR1200F, the NC700X, the NC700S, and the Crosstourer.
