Honda Other description

You are bidding on an very low mileage 1981 Honda CM400 Cruiser

THIS IS A RE-LISTING AFTER THE LAST BIDDER CHOSE "BUY IT NOW" AND THEN "CHANGED THEIR MIND"

I purchased the Motorcycle with the intent of fixing her up and then making her a daily driver. I have two young children and the complaints of my wife, mother-in-law and my own mother are not worth the headache of keeping her (ok, it's not really that bad, and they made some valid points)

She has a new battery, and two new carburetors - the old ones are also included in the auction although they are not pictured.

The previous owner rebuilt the front caliper and I rebuilt the master cylinder.

The runs and drives WONDERFULLY - I drove her everyday and she is a joy to ride : )

Their are a few small problems with this bike:

1) There is a small scratch on the tank (see pictures)

2) After driving her for a few weeks a slight "lag" developed when accelerating - nothing major as I still drove her everyday.
(I am not a motorcycle mechanic and did not attempt to correct the problem for fear of making it worse. I am to assuming there is a problem with mixture, or the carbs aren't completely sync'd. The lag is between 2000 and 3000 RPM, above or below that or cruising their is no issue, just accelerating.)
UPDATE: I had a Harley Mechanic Look at the Bike and he told me that the carbs were running rich and just needed adjustment.

3) The front forks need the seals replaced as they are beginning to leak some oil

She is in Fantastic condition and an absolute blast to ride - I will miss her but she needs to go to someone who will drive her so she's not sitting in my garage!

Please e-mail me with any questions!

On Aug-15-13 at 16:08:14 PDT, seller added the following information:

I have several questions about the bike so I'll try and answer them here. I am not a Motorcycle mechanic. I'm an old CAR mechanic. I did not change the carburetors, the gentleman I purchased the bike from told me he had them replaced. I have no paperwork but I do have the old carburetors (which come with the bike after the auction) I installed a new battery and rebuilt the master cylinder. I adjusted the clutch (would not go out of gear when I purchased it) so I could drive it. I have been driving it nearly every day for almost two months. I LOVE driving it. Why am I selling it? After I purchased it my wife got cold feet, and then my mom and mother in law chimed in. I have two young children so the arguments just weren't worth it at this point. I had a Harley mechanic stop by (yesterday) to check it out for a friend of his and this is what he had to say: Front Caliper is hanging up slightly Clutch is in need of some fine tuning adjustment Carburetors are running a bit rich Rear tire is close to needing replacement IF you have anymore questions feel free to write - more than happy to answer any and all questions. Thanks!

Honda has updated its PCX scooter for 2013 with a larger 150cc engine. The 2013 Honda PCX150 replaces the previous version’s 125cc engine with a 153cc powerplant. Honda hasn’t stated how much of a performance boost the larger engine has over the previous one, though the new displacement means the PCX is now freeway-legal in many states.
