1980 Honda Cx Series 500 CUSTOM, I am selling my 1980 Honda cx500 custom. This is a v-twin water cooled bike with a shaft drive that I bought 4 years ago from the original owner after it had not been ridden for almost 20 years. It has, however, always been stored and parked indoors and is in very good condition. I went through everything on the bike that needed to be replaced including the mechanical water pump seal, fork seals and fork oil, new intake tubes, rebuilt the carbs, cleaned and sealed the gas tank w/POR15, new fuel tank valve, new original-style mufflers, new brakes front and rear, rebuilt front caliper and master cylinder, new Kenda Challenger tires front and rear. Paint is original and not perfect but still looks pretty good for it's age. Some minor road rash from previous owner. Seat is in excellent condition with no tears. Runs and sounds good with plenty of power and acceleration, even on the highway. No oil or antifreeze leaks. 19,150 miles. Inspected through Sept. 2013. San Carlo Gresini To Field CRT Entry with Honda CBR1000RR Engine
Tue, 15 Nov 2011The San Carlo Gresini race team announced it will compete in the 2012 MotoGP World Championship as a Claiming Rules Team with a Honda CBR1000RR engine in an FTR prototype chassis. The move is a late, but unfortunately necessary change from the team’s original plan to run the factory-level Honda RC213V racebike. The late Marco Simoncelli was tabbed to ride the newest version of Honda’s MotoGP machine next season, but after his tragic death, Gresini had to find another option if it wanted to continue racing.

Tue, 18 Feb 2014James Stewart‘s hot streak continues with his second-consecutive win and fourth AMA Supercross podium in five weeks after an impressive effort at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Fresh off of signing a contract extension with Yoshimura Suzuki, Stewart took control of the Arlington main event on the third lap, passing holeshot-taker Ryan Dungey and running away with the win. With his win last week at San Diego, Stewart becomes the first rider to win back-to-back races this season and establishes himself as a championship contender as we approach the mid-way point of the 2014 season.

I got my hands on one just a few days before I went on the CB1100 launch last week and I thought it suited Honda's big retro perfectly. The lining and finish is superb, with high gloss paint and a padded/quilted leather interior.
