Honda Other description

1978 Honda CB400T Hawk. $500 OBO.Almost completely original, even has original tires, key ect. second owner, has 3676 mis. Odometer and spedometer work. Has sat in a barn for 30 odd years, and was just recently partially restored. It does run, cranks up readily, and it can be ridden, (putt around), but it needs the carbs to be rejetted, or the original exhaust system installed. Transmission is in terrific shape. And the entire electrical system works flawlessly. With the exception of the horn, its missing the wires to that. And it does have some rust as you can see in the pics. The parts that I have replaced are:spark plugsmain jets for carburettors (still have original jets)shift leverbrake shoes front and rearand exhaust pipes.(headers are stock and the original muffler and cones could be easily installed)the right foot peg is not stock, it is missing the stator cover on the left side of the engine, and of course the wires for the horn. Aside from these and the parts I replaced, it is completely original. Tires do show a little dry rot, but hold air fine.Asking $500 OBOFeel free to call Bryce Hooper at with any questions. Honda Developing V4 MotoGP Production Racer

Fri, 22 Jun 2012

Honda is reportedly developing a production racer based on its RC213V racebike that could be sold to teams looking to compete in MotoGP. The new racebike is expected to be of a lower-spec than the RC213V prototype but perform better than a CRT machine with a production-based engine. According to a report by racing site MotoMatters and French magazine Moto Journal, the new V4-engined production racer will be sold to race teams instead of being leased, as is the case with current satellite teams and their race prototypes.
