Honda Other description
Hi here is a low mile bike in very good condition. This is a 40yr old bike that looks like it's a year or 2 old!! I purchased the bike from the original owner. Was sitting for years. When I got it I cleaned the carb and changed the oil. The bike was stored correctly except there was some fuel in the tank. The inside of the tank was coated some time ago. I drained the tank and installed a new petcock and it started 2nd kick!!. It has GREAT compression and feels like your kicking over a bigger displacement engine. The bike's condition speaks for itself. Study the pics. From the front. The front tire is ready for a season or 2 of riding. The wheel is in excellent condition with no dings or scratches. All spokes are tight. Wheel bearings tight. The brake cable is original and looks great. The forks are shinny and seals are good. The fender is very good with a light scratch that I'm not sure if you can even see in the pics. The headlight is complete. All handlebar controls are there and look nice. All cables are original. The handlebar has some rust on it and can be seen in the photos. The handlebar grips look to be original. The tank in the pics is the original one. When riding the bike around for about 1/2hr it stalled. I had no fuel. I noticed a piece of the coating had flaked off and some crap clogged the petcock. The tank will need to be re-coated. No worries, I have a second tank that is pristine on the inside with a few dings on the outside. I am mounting the second tank on the bike and will take a pic of it. Ride with that one and fix the original at your leisure. Back to the rest of the bike. The underside of the frame is great with no dings. The same for the exhaust pipe. Footpegs are tight and straight. This bike was not beat on. Comes with original tools. The sidecover is nice but has a scratch on it. The seatcover is original and is in great shape. Rear shocks are original and are working properly. Chain and sprockets have a season or so left in them. Rear wheel bearings are tight. Rear fender is in very good shape. Rear tire has slightly less life in it than the front. This bike can be ridden in confidence for years with just maintaining basic maintenance. Almost in too good of shape to ride in the woods. I can sell with a NH registration and bill of sale. That will get you a title and registration in any state. All bidders with less than a feedback of 5 please contact me before bidding. I will cancel your bid unless we talk first. I will work with your shipper. Follow payment schedule and the winning bidder needs to make a $500 non-refundable deposit within 48hrs unless it is a local pickup and the bidder will pay the entire payment in person with cash or a bank check. This is a NO RESERVE auction. Highest bidder gets a GREAT bike!!!!! |

2014 WSBK – Aragon Results
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Reigning World Superbike Champion Tom Sykes put on a clinic this weekend, leading every lap in both races to claim a pair of wins at Spain’s Motorland Aragon circuit. Sykes’ Kawasaki teammate Loris Baz was right there with him, recording a pair of second-place podiums to give Team Green a pair of one-two finishes. Sykes and Baz were also one-two in the Superpole qualifying on this nearly flawless weekend for the Kawasaki factory team.
Bahrain track days
Tue, 17 Dec 2013A few months ago, expat (and ex racer) John Beddall made contact to ask if I fancied doing some track day instruction out in Bahrain. After thinking about it for two seconds, flights were booked and a plan was put in place to look after around forty riders for a day at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC). Young Taylor Mac was also recruited to look after any tasty riders that I couldn’t deal with The Brits out there love their bikes, however, quite a few locals also turned up plus a few others from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar. Most were on high end Superbikes, like S1000s, Panigales and RSV4s but there was also a healthy number R6s and new 675Rs. Although this fabulous Hermann Tilke designed circuit is around ten years old incredibly it has never hosted a bike race. The highlight of the year there is F1 but being owned by the Bahrainian Royal family, there is no desperate need for the circuit to operate as a profitable business. The track reminded me of Qatar but much more interesting as some great undulations have been built into its desert location. We shared the track with Supercars on the day (20mins on/20mins off) and as you might imagine it was betty swollocks for seven hours in the 30 plus temperatures. As usual there was a few offs with poor old RS1000 Aprilia mounted Andy breaking his femur early in the day. Two other buddies appeared to swap bikes mid air in another incident but fortunately escaped unhurt. In the evening everyone stayed for an al fresco dinner in the paddock with the craic going on for hours as the Fosters kept flowing. All in all it was a brilliant trip and it has left me thinking there could be cost effective ways of getting Brits out there for track days next winter. I'll keep you posted.Cape Town next to make my racing comeback at the Killarney 8 hour on a CBR150 Honda. Hopefully I can manage the beast, I'll post a full report next week.
2014 AMA Supercross – Seattle Results
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Ryan Villopoto won his fifth race of the season while James Stewart took second place to just barely remain in contention for the 2014 AMA Supercross title. Meanwhile it was a bitter-sweet podium for third-place finisher KTM‘s Ryan Dungey who was officially mathematically eliminated from title contention. Racing in his home town of Seattle, Wash., Villopoto led every lap en route to an easy win, his fifth of the season.
