very clean, excellent running.  new tires, tubes.  new front/rear sprockets, new chain.  new points.  new o-ring on neutral switch.  major service includes, deep sympathetic cleaning, new grease in steering head, swing arm spindle, brake fulcrum pivots, lubed all cables, lubed brake and clutch lever.  everything works like it's supposed to.  needs nothing.  ready to ride.  starts 1st kick, shifts perfect.  no smoke, no abnormal noises.  this bike was one of two of a husband/wife pair bought new in 1974.  comes with owner's manual, complete tool kit, spare key, shop manual and parts manual.

Eugene Laverty and Marco Melandri split a pair of victories at Monza but the most biggest news from the World Superbike weekend was a strange series of appeals after Race Two that saw Tom Sykes finish third, relegated to fourth and then reinstated on the final step of the podium. The unusual mix-up occurred after Sykes, sitting in third place, ran off track and into the run off area on Turn 5 on his final lap. The Kawasaki rider returned to the track again in third place where he finished ahead of Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli.

Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.
