This is a 1974 Honda MR50 restored with custom pipe and side covers. The Honda MR50 Elsinore was an off road mini cycle . It was available in the USA only in 1974 and 1975. This bike starts and runs well and shifts thru all gears. These bikes are very rare and cool .The only thing that I know of that is wrong is a throttle cable. It works as it is but if you wanted to replace it they are available still for sale. Fifty years later, that legendary run is remembered for inspiring one of the most significant off-road races in the world—the Baja 1000. In celebration, the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles is hosting a tribute dinner, one-day off road show, and summer-long exhibition called Braving Baja, 1,000 Miles to Glory.

Thu, 05 May 2011I can remember exactly where I was when I first saw Honda's TT100 Evolution Fireblade: at the dinner table, reading MCN as a 16-year old lad and being told to put the paper down and get on with my dinner! I'm sure you appreciate why the lamb chops had to wait.. It was created by Honda to celebrate their 100th TT victory, however I'm pretty sure Honda had another agenda: to homologate it so they could put it up against the mighty new Yamaha R1 at the TT.
