Honda Other description
I traded for this. It is a 1974 model its in pretty great looking condition. It is not running. What I know about it is that the throttle cable is broke and seems as if someone tried wiring a different key switch on it, maybe a cheap car style key switch. I don't want to fool with it so im gonna sell it. Please do not ask me a bunch of questions about it, I don't know. Looks to be a good project. Nissin ABS Modulator Recall Explained in NHTSA Documents
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Earlier this month, we published news about an issue with certain Nissin anti-lock brake system modulators that have been connected to recalls in Canada and Japan from Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki, with the possibility of it expanding to further models and manufacturers using the same component. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has now released documents from American Honda’s recall of ABS-equipped CTX700 and CTX700N that shed some more light into the issue. According to the documentation, a manufacturing error may have resulted in Nissin ABS modulators being contaminated with aluminum chips.
Intermot 2012: Honda CRF450 Rally Unveiled
Tue, 02 Oct 2012Today at Intermot 2012, Honda unveiled the CRF450 Rally, the machine it plans to enter in the 2013 Dakar Rally, marking the manufacturer’s return to the race after more than two decades. Honda has competed nine times from 1981 in the forerunner of the present Dakar Rally, the Paris-Dakar Rally. Cyril Neveu of France took Honda to its first victory in 1982, the race’s fourth year, and from 1986 to 1989 Honda won four consecutive titles for an overall record of five victories in nine years. The CRF450 Rally is based on Honda’s commercial CRF450X enduro racing model, and features electronic fuel injection, auxiliary fuel tanks in the panniers and lower side fairings, and the requisite navigation equipment located behind the windscreen.
