i have a 2006 450r. motor is brand new from cases up with fourteen hours on it, 480 big bore kit from cyl works, hot rods crank, 12.1 weisco piston, stage two hot cam, kimble white titanium valves, full curtis sparks exhuast, a-c nerf bars and bumper, pro taper bars, new oil pump, timing chain, uni air filter, chain and sprokets, double bearing carrier, starter clutch. new front tires and rear douglas beadlocks. The first race saw the reigning World Superbike champion fight his way up from 11th place for the win while Race 2 offered a three-way battle between the two Kawasaki riders and Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli. 2013 AIMExpo: Skidbike
Mon, 21 Oct 2013One of the most inventive devices seen at this week’s AIMExpo is the Skidbike, a novel creation that helps teach riders the skills to balance and to master threshold braking. It’s a Swedish/American invention originally designed to educate riders how to sufficiently apply brakes to avoid an accident without the danger of tipping over and causing injuries. It uses an electrically operated hydraulic ram built on a hinged dolly to reduce front-tire grip, which drastically reduces speeds when traction is lost so riders can learn how to use the brakes effectively.
Dovi given the 1000fps treatment
Fri, 22 Jul 2011Andrea Dovizioso describes the perfect lap from the start to the corners. All three of the Repsol Honda riders have very different riding styles and comparing the above footage of Dovi against Stoner you can see that he is a lot more conservative on the bike than a ragged lap of his Australian team-mate. Still incredibly rapid though.
