Honda Nighthawk description

2000 Honda Nighthawk 750, - Thirty years after the CB750K0 took the world by storm, the 2000 Nighthawk remains one of the greatest values in motorcycling, combining exhilarating performance, low maintenance, and do-it-all practicality. The 747cc DOHC inline four-cylinder engine produces impressive horsepower over a broad rpm-range, while the 16-valve cylinder head allows excellent combustion efficiency and optimum horsepower. A hydraulic valve-lash adjuster system makes valve adjustments a thing of the past. The automatic cam-chain tensioner is maintenance-free, as is the solid-state ignition system.

Suzuka Eight Hour capers

Mon, 05 Sep 2011

Chatting to TT legend John McGuiness recently about his first Suzuka Eight Hour experience got me thinking of a few capers the boys and me managed a few years back at what is still Japan's most important race of the season. It is a unique event that starts at 11am and finishes at 7pm making  it a pukka endurance race as the last hour is run with headlights on in the dark. It is essentially an eight hour sprint that showcases the trickest endurance machinery and manufacturer’s sales can be affected the following year depending on who wins or loses.

2014 Pata Honda WSBK and WSS Team Presentation

Mon, 27 Jan 2014

Honda presented its 2014 World Superbike and Supersport team, including the new CBR1000RR SP racebike in a presentation at the Motor Bike Expo in Verona, Italy. Jonathan Rea and Leon Haslam are returning in the Pata Honda team colors to ride the CBR1000RR SP in the WSBK class while Michael van der Mark and Lorenzo Zanetti will ride the CBR600RR in the WSS championship. Last season was disappointing for Honda, with both Rea and Haslam missing significant time due to leg injuries.

Sheepish Maverick Vinales Returns to Blusens, Issues Apology

Tue, 23 Oct 2012

A contrite Maverick Vinales has returned to the Blusens Avintia Moto3 team days after his brash, and admittedly hasty departure at this past weekend’s Malaysian Grand Prix. The FTR Honda rider quit the Blusens team on Oct. 10, returning home from Sepang without once hitting the track.
