The headlight shell, instruments, and front fender are chrome. The speedometer numbers are in increments of 10 ending with "5" (35, 45, 55...). The control levers have screw-type adjusters. The turn signal switch is a push-to-cancel type which also has a self-timer and angle sensor cancel feature. The bike has a fiber optics integrated lock anti-theft system. The engine is a 1098cc DOHC 4-valve liquid-cooled V-4 linked to a 6-speed transmission and shaft drive. Fastest production motorcycle in the world when released. 11 second 1/4 mile. Bench tested to 155mph at 10k RPM. Selling to switch to a Dual-Sport. Bike is EXTREMELY STRONG and NOT for the timid of heart. Starts every time. One tap of the Starter Button. Choke operates well for warm-up. Original side covers were stolen. I have replaced them with OEM covers that I have resprayed High-Gloss Black. Hero MotoCorp Forms Joint Venture with Magneti Marelli

Indian manufacturer Hero MotoCorp is teaming up with electronic fuel injection expert Magneti Marelli in a new joint venture. Hero will hold a 60% share in the company with Magenti Marelli controlling the other 40%. The two companies are initially investing a combined US$8.5 million into the joint venture, with a planned  investment of US$27 million total over the next ten years.

Pirelli’s relationship with the World Superbike Championship started in 2004 and will carry on through 2018, as the Italian company will continue to supply tires for every class of the championship. What follows is the official Pirelli press release. Pirelli has been confirmed as the Official Tire Supplier for all classes of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship having won the tender organized by Dorna, promoter and organizer of the World Championship, in agreement with the FIM, the International Motorcycling Federation.

The new Honda CBR300R already made its world premiere earlier this month at the 2013 CIMAMotor show in China, but the entry-level sportbike has now made its European debut at the 2013 EICMA show, with full details and specs released. Follow the rest of our 2013 EICMA show coverage Replacing the CBR250R in most western markets, the new CBR300R offers an extra 37cc in displacement and styling inspired from the CBR1000RR. As we previously reported, the 286cc engine was achieved by increasing the stroke of the 250′s engine by 8 mm to 63mm and keeping the bore at 76mm.
