Honda Gold Wing description

Up for auction is my 2002 Illusion Blue Goldwing.  I bought it in 2004 with 2300 miles and is has been a great, trouble free bike.  The reason I'm selling it is to trade up to a new one.  The bike is in excellent condition for its age and people are always surprised to find out it is an 02.  The Illusion Blue color was only available in 02 and 03 as far as I know.  Everything works on the bike as far as I know.  The bike has had all of the manufacturer's recalls done except for the more recent rear brake recall.  If it is an issue I'll have it done before the sale is made.  The bike has been great to me and I'd love to see it go to someone who will enjoy it as much as I have!

The tires are Dunlop E3's with 6800 miles on them. [I've been getting 18-20,000 out of every set]  The brake, clutch and coolant fluids were changed last year.  The battery and alternator are brand new.  The bike has had 4000 mile oil changes all along and I've been using full synthetic oil for the last 25,000 miles.  Mechanically the bike is in great condition.

The paint is in great condition and it doesn't have any noticeable scratches or blemishes.  There is a small nick on the trunk lid behind the luggage rack. There are some small chips in the paint on the lower front cowling.  The seat is in good condition and has no rips or tears.  The bike does have 82,000 miles so it is of course not perfect but it is in very good condition.

Finally the bike has many add ons- Honda CB radio, Honda CD changer, Honda heated grips,  chrome Honda front fender rail, chrome wheel cover with amber ring of fire, blue LED lighting, chrome front lower cowl, Honda fog lamps, chrome Honda windshield garnish, chrome air intakes, chrome radiator grills, radiator accents, front turn signal accents, chrome lower cowls, Kuryakyn highway switchblade pegs, passenger floorboard chrome covers, Markland backrest, Kuryakyn luggage rack, Kuryakyn saddlebag lights, Kuryakyn trunk lights, chrome trunk rails, chrome saddlebag rails, turn down exhaust tips, floor mats in trunk and saddlebags, heated front seat, chrome frame covers, trunk light, Baker hand air wings, Baker upper and lower side air wings.  The bike is very well accessorized and it gets many compliments.

Everything that is in the pictures goes with the bike except for the Garmin mount on the left handlebar.

MotoGP to Re-Visit Rookie Rule

Tue, 19 Jun 2012

MotoGP organizers are re-opening discussion for the series’ rookie rule which prevents new riders from entering the series with factory teams. Introduced following the 2009 MotoGP season, the rule was designed to give satellite teams the chance to field young up-and-coming talents  they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to sign. The theory was the rule would protect the satellite teams and spread out the talent pool.
