Honda Gold Wing description

This is a 1991 Honda GL1500SE Goldwing with 49,643 miles.  The bike is complete but could use a paint job.  I have had the engine running on starting fluid, but haven't put any time into getting the bike to run on it's own.  The engine sounds great when running and is nice and quiet.  The bodywork is complete (missing 2 pieces of chrome trim on the left side of the bike and one for the left side of the front fender), but has been spray painted.  The little doors under the rear speakers are broken.  The tires are in good shape with lots of rubber left.  The seat is nice, with no tears or punctures.  It has the grab handles, but are not installed.  It has the original owners manual and documents for the accessories.  This is an SE, so comes with all the "bells and whistles"  Chrome trim, reverse, CB radio,  air suspension with onboard compressor.  We bought this with the intent of giving it a paint job, but with all the other bikes ahead of it, we just don't have the time to give it.  This will make a nice bike when it's done and has everything it will need to be a rider.  Now it just needs some elbow grease and time.  It also comes with a spare rear brake caliper.

Because of a mistake at the MN DMV, the bike has a "Prior Salvage" title which may be able to be cleared with a MN Inspection.

Shipping arrangements and payment is up to the buyer.

Honda Canada to Launch CBR250R Racing Series

Fri, 30 Sep 2011

Honda Canada will introduce a new national racing series featuring the CBR250R for 2012. The news is no surprise as Honda has been running a CBR125R Challenge racing series as a support class for the Canadian Superbike Championship since 2008. With the CBR250R on the market for nearly a year (and reportedly doing quite well at that), a racing series featuring the quarter-liter sportbike was almost inevitable.

Would you pay £115,000 for this?

Mon, 25 Oct 2010

A HONDA NR750 - one of the most hi-tech production motorcycles ever built - is up for grabs on eBay with an asking price of £115,000.The bike was produced in the early 1990s by Honda to showcase the company's engineering skills; a 32-valve, oval piston V4 engine, Carbon Fibre Composite bodywork and titanium-tinted screen are just some of the revolutionary features that warranted the bike's £37,000 original price tag. This particular 1993 model has covered 5000 miles from new - quite a few for a bike with such a heady price tag. We'd have expected it to come with delivery mileage only. It's being sold by an Essex-based dealer who describes the bike as 'IMMACULATE'.

After 10 years of working as a helicopter mechanic, Samuel Guertin founded Clockwork Motorcycles east of Montreal and began building cars and motorcycles

This Honda CB750 is the fourth work of Clockwork Motorcycles: “The bike looked pretty funny,” says the founder of the workshop. They tried to turn the 1971 model into a bobber, but unsuccessfully. I decided it deserved better." Having decided to make a real bobber, Samuel called the project "Fury".
