Honda Gold Wing description

For sale is my 1985 Honda GL1200 Limited Edition GoldWing and you can buy this as a fixer upper or as a parts bike. The motor runs good until it gets hot then it loses power and dies, in cooler weather it will all day without missing a beat. Mileage is approximately 170K, the odometer reads 55635 miles and the speedometer/odometer (cruise control too) have never worked since I bought the motorcycle 10 years ago.  I’ve put approximately 120K miles on the bike since I've had it.

I put a new starter and Bike Master gel battery in the bike this spring, a new Road Sofa seat with extra foam (last fall), new Dunlop Elite3 tires (front and rear) last fall and they only have about 500 miles on them. The auxiliary driving lights were new last year. The stator and clutch were replaced 3 years ago.

There are a lot of little things that have been broken and need of repair or replaced and I simply do not have the time to fix it. The panels for the compressor controls and the CB panel are cracked (see pictures), the RR corner of the trunk lid is broken. I tried replacing the fuel pump and fuel filter to remedy the stalling and dying but did not fix the problem so the original pump and filter are back on the bike. There is a full Honda cover for the bike and there is a tear at the right hand mirror (see picture). The bottom "air dam" and cover were broken off when I hit a large raccoon last fall, the air dam is there but bent up pretty bad and I never found the plastic bottom cover (see pictures). I've also included the original travel computer that was replaced about 6 years ago because it was shorting out for spare parts.

There are also some extra things I have taken off the bike, rotor covers, 1 caliper cover, a lite bar for the forks, a driver back rest that had to be taken off to get the Road Sofa seat on and lift out bags for the saddle bags.

this item is SOLD AS-IS and there is a NO RETURN POLICY  LOCAL PICKUP ONLY OR BUYER CAN ARRANGE HIS OWN PICK UP AND SHIPPING!!!!!!!

EICMA 2013: Returning 2014 Honda Models Announced

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

Along with an all-new CTX1300 and CBR1000RR SP announced at the 2013 EICMA show, Honda announced several more models returning for 2014 with some minor updates and new color options. Several of these models, such as the 500 series and the Gold Wing F6B were only introduced last year, so they receive just a palette update, while other models like the NC700X return with minor tweaks. Read on for more details including pricing and availability.

We ran a couple of stories last week - both, coincidentally, about new Kawasakis. One was the first peek of the new ZX10R – hot stuff you’d imagine – the other, the new W800 retro parallel twin. I suppose it shouldn’t have shocked us, which story was most popular in terms of hits but it really does mark a seismic shifts in British biking attitudes that the W800 story doubled the hits of the ZX10 piece.
