Honda Gold Wing description

Cheap Cheap Cheap!! 82 GL1100 only 1 Million Miles. Ok not that much but approximately 124K miles. I say approxmately because I had to replace the speedometer which now reads 77K miles. The broken one read 123K and I have since put on 1K miles. Despite the high miles the bike looks and runs well. Engine and Tranny are Solid. I drive it round trip to work daily 50 miles and wouldnt hesitate to drive it anywhere. Tires, Brakes, Battery, were new this spring and front brake caliper was rebuilt. Really nice radio you can hear at highway speed with a helmet on. The Fusion marine radio cost 399 and is completely water proof, not just water resistant like ones at electronic store. You put your whole IPOD inside radio and its protected, plus you have full menu access from radio. Added Kenwood amp and 2 4x6 speakers to rear bags. Bought this bike to cut down on gas and keep miles off my car and it has more than fits the bill. Also has Head light modulator and pulse brake light I installed. Whats a modulator? Here ya go http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbQcIGUy4CY. Yes they are legal in all 50 states and can be deactivate if you dont want to use. Only one issue with bike is in the last couple weeks I noticed if you get on it hard sometimes hesitates in lower gears. Not sure it carb float is sticking or needle jet is dirty. I've been running 93 octaine lately and the problem seems to be going away. If you drive it normally there are no issues. Bike does burn a little oil. Absolutely no fluid leaks. Always garaged. Need garage space othewise I would wait till spring and probably get twice as much. This bike is old but reliable and I wouldnt be surprise if it ran another 124K. Wont last long if you can find a better deal go for it.

Do You See the Motorcycle?

Tue, 15 Dec 2009

The Honda crotch rocket rider was traveling at approximately 85 mph. The VW driver was talking on a cell phone when she pulled out from a side street, apparently not seeing the motorcycle. More photos after the jump.

Honda announced a hardcore version of the Africa Twin

Thu, 09 Mar 2017

At the Motodays show in Rome, Honda announced a hardcore version of the Africa Twin, featuring Dakar styling, technical innovations and a price tag that surpasses the exterior of the motorcycle in severity. The Italian division of Honda has comprehensively modified the CRF1000L, giving it the dashing style of an experimental vehicle along the way. There is a pretty good attempt to endow the motorcycle with the features of a Dakar monster.

Sheepish Maverick Vinales Returns to Blusens, Issues Apology

Tue, 23 Oct 2012

A contrite Maverick Vinales has returned to the Blusens Avintia Moto3 team days after his brash, and admittedly hasty departure at this past weekend’s Malaysian Grand Prix. The FTR Honda rider quit the Blusens team on Oct. 10, returning home from Sepang without once hitting the track.
