Honda GL1100 Goldwing Aspencade Very clean low mileage example of the venerable GL1100 Goldwing. The odometer shows only 22,562 miles. This is not a barn find, rather a well maintained driver. The bike recently had $1200 in carburetor tuning performed to keep this beauty in perfect running order. The unit is equipped with saddlebags and topcase, factory radio and CB. The radio key has been misplaced but the radio and CB do turn on. Tires are in great condition, showing 3/32nds front and 6/32nds rear on Dunlop D404s. Brakes are 3/32, 4/32nds left and right front respectively. Rears are 5/32nds. The air compressor works as new for front and rear. A clean unit in very good condition overall. Electric Honda Motorcycle to Debut Next Year
Tue, 04 Aug 2009According to Honda’s head of motorcycle operations, Tatsuhiro Oyama, the lithium-ion battery powered motorcycle will target corporate customers which may include Japan Post and delivery companies, the bike will debut in Japan next year. Oyama, made the announcement on August 1st at a test drive event in Motegi, Japan. Honda started building a battery factory earlier this year with joint-venture partner GS Yuasa, manufacturing batteries for Honda’s electric hybrid cars but Oyama declined to disclose the motorcycle battery supplier.

Team Segway Racing MotoCzysz will again return to the TT Zero with past TT Zero winners Mark Miller and Michael Rutter as its riders in the 2012 race. The Isle of Man TT press office today announced a total of 18 entrants in the 2012 SES TT Zero electric motorcycle race — a record number of riders according to the IoM TT website.

Mon, 27 Aug 2012The historic race first-ever World Superbike Championship round in Russia provided plenty of drama with several top riders crashing out of both races and a new leader emerge in the chase for the 2012 WSBK Championship. Superpole qualifying made for four different manufacturers lining up in the first row of the grid, with Carlos Checa taking pole position for Althea Ducati ahead of Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes, Aprilia‘s Eugene Laverty and BMW rider Leon Haslam. A slightly damp and unfamiliar track likely contributed to a number of crashes and collisions.
