Honda Gold Wing description

1976 Honda GL1000 LTD Bicentennial edition.

Very good condition for a 40 year old bike. Bike had a good check ( mild restoration)  3 years ago.

Paint was redone , motor had all the rubber seals replaced, belts replaced, new fork seals, rebuilt carbs with Randakk's carb kits. New brake pads, Has Dyna S Electronic Ignition, Tires are in good condition.

Chrome is in good condition with some scuffs.

Remember this is a 40 year old bike and not in showroom condition, but it is a very nice bike with some flaws.

Rims and spokes have some tarnish, paint has a few chips, starter slips from time to time, but has not failed me.

Starts up good , shifts good, and stops good.  Idles a little rough until warms up. I use the choke until it gets warm.

Please ask any questions or concerns before bidding. I will answer to the best of my knowledge.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

Zero-mile Honda RC30 for sale

Wed, 22 Jan 2014

This 0-mile Honda RC30 for is for sale, via a dealer, Unit1 Motorcycles, in Suffolk.  The pictures they have uploaded of this amazing bike don't do it justice; they look like they've been taken with a calculator. Despite the blurry shots, this RC30 looks like the real deal, time-warp condition as they say.

More European Consumers Choosing Honda’s Dual Clutch Transmission

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

Honda‘s work developing its second-generation dual clutch transmission appears to be paying off, at least in Europe. According to Honda, customers have purchased more than 12,500 units with DCT since the technology was first made available on a production motorcycle with the VFR1200F in 2010. The Japanese manufacturer now offers four models in Europe with optional DCT: the VFR1200F, the NC700X, the NC700S, and the Crosstourer.
