                                                                                      1975 Honda Gold Wing GL1000

1975 Honda Gold Wing GL1000 in original Sapphire Blue paint, which is one of 2 colors available that first year and to find one with the Sapphire Blue and be original paint still is very hard to find.  They mostly made the red ones.  This is the first year for the Gold Wing and this one is an original vintage time warp.  CLEAR TITLE.  This Gold Wing is a true survivor.  The bike has been very well cared for.  It starts right up, idles excellent, runs excellent and drives excellent with all systems operational as of this date.  I would ride this bike across the country to California tomorrow!!!  AND BACK.   This is a the real deal.  You will NOT find another 75 Gold Wing this nice for this price.  Period.   The original exhaust is excellent and there are no rust or holes in it and underneath is very clean and solid,   The rims are excellent and balanced well.  he spokes do have some rust on them.  The engine was recently tuned up and timing belts were checked and they are very good.  The bike has its' original paint, exhaust, gauges and engine.  The engine is very very quiet and is so smooth.  No wonder Honda sold so darn many of these bikes back in the day, eh?   The bike has a nice set of Metzler tires on it.  The electronics all work nicely.  VIN:  GL1-1007974. Like I said, this is a first year Gold Wing and very rare to find one in this nice of original condition.  It would make a great bike to any collector or Gold Wing enthusiast.  There is one just like this on display at BarberMotorpsorts Park and you cannot buy it.  It is in the museum  Very rare to find one in blue.  Make OFFER.  Don't be afraid.  You never know.   Thanks.

The bike needs nothing, just a new owner.  Are you the one?  Thanks.

This bike is located in Onsted, Michigan 49265 which is 62 miles southwest of Detroit and 45 minutes northwest of Toledo, Ohio.  I do not ship vehicles,  and I am not a dealer or a mechanic.  The buyer is responsible to arrange and pay for their own shipping or pick the vehicle up.  I will store the vehicle for up to 30 days.  Please try to get it picked up by then, otherwise, storage fees of $10 per day will be added to what you owe. Thanks.

PAYMENT:  Please, PAY PAL ONLY.   I send you an Invoice as soon as the auction ends and you pay the Invoice then please.  You will need to give me your email address as soon as you buy the bike ok?  These are my terms.  Thank you.

Suzuka Eight Hour capers

Mon, 05 Sep 2011

Chatting to TT legend John McGuiness recently about his first Suzuka Eight Hour experience got me thinking of a few capers the boys and me managed a few years back at what is still Japan's most important race of the season. It is a unique event that starts at 11am and finishes at 7pm making  it a pukka endurance race as the last hour is run with headlights on in the dark. It is essentially an eight hour sprint that showcases the trickest endurance machinery and manufacturer’s sales can be affected the following year depending on who wins or loses.

EICMA 2008: First Impressions

Mon, 03 Nov 2008

I have had a little walk around checking out the preparations for the show. I haven’t seen anything that I haven’t already seen or heard about previously, but here’s a selection from three of the halls. Yamaha are the only manufacturer to use an industrial crane to place some of its bikes up on high rise stands.

Join the Honda Transalp Forum The Transalp name was first introduced on a 583cc V-Twin model in 1986, before gaining larger 647cc and 680cc versions.
