Honda Gold Wing description

1975 first year of the Gold Wing, this is the 1807th one built.  Only 15,828 original mile.  I am the second owner of this original low mileage Gold Wing  purchased 16 years ago.  Fluids all replaced in the past 30 days, engine oil and filter, differential lube, brake fluid, antifreeze (no leaks).   New battery and all electrical 100%.  Early model  Gold Wings have mechanical kick starter arm located under right cover see pic.  Engine and all mechanical components function as designed.  No rust or oxidation .  All painted surfaces are original and show minimal wear, top side of the tank shows some minor fading but does not show up in pics.  Aluminum surfaces have all been polished look great.  Great looking Honda that always gets complemented at the bike shows.  This Honda is a true survivor not a restored bike.  I'm 69 years old and would like to let someone else enjoy this Honda.

Honda CB500F, CB500X and CBR500R Recall Affects 6,954 Units in US

Mon, 10 Mar 2014

As we expected following similar recalls in Australia and Japan, American Honda has announced a recall campaign on the 2013 CB500F, CB500X and CBR500R because of a risk of oil leaking from the engine. The recall affects 6,954 units in the U.S. including ABS and non-ABS models.

Honda Gold Wing Brake Recall – Round 2

Tue, 09 Sep 2014

While Honda has never seemed like a company to follow the old saw “We do it right because we do it twice,” the company has just announced a second recall of 126,000 GL 1800 and GL 1800A models to address a dragging rear brake problem that is serious enough to potentially cause a fire. We feel comfortable saying that this is certainly not the type of heated seats Gold Wing riders would want to have. The affected models come from a variety of years.

Honda’s View of the Motorcycle Industry in Canada

Fri, 13 Aug 2010

Recently here on Motorcycle.com, we’ve been bringing you reviews of a handful of Honda scoots that are available to our neighbors (or is that neighbours?) to the North in Canada, yet remain forbidden fruit for American consumers. Reviewer Costa Mouzouris gave us a look at the naked CB1000R that Honda Canada is considering importing, the already-available half-faired CBF1000, and the entry-level CBR125R. Meanwhile, Honda’s competitors have also announced some new products for Canada that have yet to be made available in the U.S.
