Honda CT description

Very popular, well cared for and maintained, original owner, all original (except newer tires), San Clemente, CA purchased Honda Trail CT 110 motorcycle.  Always stored inside.  Runs well.  Gets lots of looks.  Has everything (including: original paperwork and owners manual, toolkit).

It was used as a camping bike throughout (no commuting, local travel,...).  It is just over 30 years old, and at just under 3,000 miles on the odometer, it was ridden an average of just 100 miles per year.  It was placed in storage for the most recent 5 years (most recent registration in 2011).

There are a few specifics on condition to note:  the lights (headlight, taillight, turn signals, instrument indicator lights) and are not currently operational.  They were before storage.  The bike starts up after a couple of kicks.  The bulbs and wiring are fine so I suspect the battery can no longer hold a charge. The left handgrip has a tear at the end (cosmetic).  There is some surface rust on the chrome (pretty standard on these bikes).  There are some scratches on the handle bars where tie downs were used.  The buddy seat is in great condition but the brackets holding it to the rear rack are loose (stays on but slides around).  One small dent in rear of front fender.  The painted surfaces have some minor scratches.  There is some gas in the rear mounted reserve tank and appears to be some rust but it was not removed nor inspected (another pretty standard condition on these bikes).  No known mechanical issues.  You can see any of the noted cosmetic imperfections in the pictures.

Questions welcomed.

2010 Honda Fury: New Honda Chopper Motorcycle?

Sun, 30 Nov 2008

UPDATE (May 19): Official 2010 Honda Fury Pricing UPDATE (Feb 27): The Honda Fury Review is finally here!!! Some may baulk at Honda’s description of the Fury as “radical.” Sure it’s not mind-blowing in the way a $60K custom can be, but it’s worth noting that not even Harley-Davidson has produced a bike with a rake angle so stretched or a wheelbase as long. So let’s admit that, for the normally staid Honda, the Fury is radical.

Isle of Man TT 2013: Monster Energy Supersport Race 1 Results

Mon, 03 Jun 2013

Michael Dunlop captured his second victory in the 2013 Isle of Man TT, winning the first Supersport race a day after doing the same in the Superbike race. But it was a different Dunlop that led early on the first lap. Older brother William Dunlop on the Milwaukee Yamaha R6 had the fastest time through Glen Helen, between the ninth and tenth milestones of the Isle of Man’s Mountain course.

Top box trauma

Wed, 24 Nov 2010

I've struggled with my Honda hard luggage over the past few months, I have to admit. To much office hilarity (and piss taking) I managed to lose the top box just a few miles from the office. I thought the locating mechanism was fastened securely but the first rapid getaway from the first set of traffic lights on Upper Street proved me wrong. It was at least a mile before I noticed that my top box was absent.
